Starting another Match thread for tomorrows testimonial match for Lee Beevers.

A colleague at work keeps banging on about a wonder kid in the Walsall ranks called Mitch Candlin, who has broken into the Walsall first team at 16 years of age. Scored a Hattrick against Chasetown in pre season.

I'm just hoping we get to see a settled organised display from ourselves with a quality Left back being brought in and potentially signed on for the start of the season.

Lee Beevers' appearance record with City:

Football League: 158 + 14 = 172 (9 goals)
National League: 57 + 2 = 59 (0 goals)
League Cup: 4 (2 goals)
FA Cup: 10 (0 goals)
FL Trophy: 4 (0 goals)
FA Trophy: 0
Total: 233 + 16 = 249 (11 goals)

His total of 249 puts him joint-34th in City's all-time appearances list.

Briggs is back in the team at LB with another trialist named Eardley at RB.

I would assume that is ex-Blackpool Neil Eardley. Would certainly be a senior option in this position above Long. Looking forward to hearing how he gets on.

Few missing Green, Anderson and Waterfall.

Eardley will be interesting, a lot of experience for sure.

Imps XI: Farman, Eardley, Raggett, Howe, Briggs, Maguire-Drew, Woodyard, Bostwick, Arnold, Knott, Palmer.

Subs: Vickers, Whitehouse, McMenemy, Rhead, Long, Ginnelly, Chapman, Anderson, Beevers.

Walsall FC XI: Gillespie; Kinsella, Guthrie, K Roberts, Cockerill-Mollett, Morris, Chambers (capt), Flanagan, Kouhyar, Jackson, Bakayoko.

Subs: L Roberts, Edwards, Leahy, Devlin, Cuvelier, Oztumer, Candlin.

Anderson is on the bench too, for some reason the club missed his name when they tweeted the team. He's on the team sheet.

Anderson is on the bench too, for some reason the club missed his name when they tweeted the team. He's on the team sheet.

Thanks. Updated on this Thread and on the Front Page!

"8' Good link up play from Arnold and Knott sees the ball come to Maguire-Drew on the right but his cross was over hit. Imps starting well."

Weather isn't very nice here (Carbis Bay, Cornwall), so might as well spend a bit of time on the Site!

"12' Driving run from Knott sees Imps win a free kick on the edge of the box.."

Neal Eardley was a decent defender at Blackpool including a spell in the Premier League, but has had a stream of injuries since then including two cruciate ligaments - he missed the whole of the 2013-14 season with one. Birmingham manager Gary Rowett said "Every time he seems to get an innocuous bang in a game you almost fear the worst."

16 full caps for Wales.

Still only 28.

Has just had an unsuccessful trial at Port Vale.

"13' Free kick hits the wall before the Walsall defender clears it over the Co-op stand"

"17' Eardley's ball in puts Gillespie under pressure in the Walsall goal but the visitors manage to clear"
