Match Thread: Lincoln City v Shrewsbury Town

Probably the most dominant and comfortable game I’ve seen a long time.

3-0 flatters them. As good as we were, they were dreadful. All over the place defensively for the first 20 minutes. They looked completely shell shocked.

Some lovely football at times, confidence is a powerful thing! Man of the match could have been 1 of 5 or 6.

Keep this train rolling!

Patterns of play was the big plus for me there. One touch passing to players who have found that space. Different gravy from some games pre Christmas. Of course it's easier to play like that with a 3-0 lead but you can really see the style of play Skubala wants

A thoroughly enjoyable game tonight. The one touch passages of play and the forward press was a joy to watch and in stark contrast to the overly cautious play we saw earlier in the season. To see so many players getting in and around the opponents penalty area leads to some exciting play, it could so easily have been 6-0. Difficult to single one player out for man of the match in that performance, well done to all.

What a shame it was watched by our lowest league crowd since we returned to the EFL (Covid restrictions aside): 6,842 is the first time since the 1-0 win over Bromley on 1 April 2017 (6,843)

The run of home league attendances over 7,000 comes to an end at 129.

Ifollow and small away following - but seems odd tonight was less than the previous 129.

Still 10th but closed the Play off gap to 8 points. If Stevenage hold on to their lead (1-0 at the moment) they'll be in that 6th spot with a game in hand on us.
Makes Saturday a massive game for us

This is probably the only real downer of the evening and a great shame.
