Match Thread: Lincoln City v Gillingham

I don't know about Sincil Drain but the ground is absolutely saturated around the city. Dry spell at the moment but more forecast to come this afternoon.

I know we have a few out (maybe more than we know), but i think this suits Gillingham, given that we've had longer to prepare.

I think the Sincil has burst its banks...not much we can do in that circumstance.

Well it certainly hadn't when I drove across it this morning down Ripon Street and Monson Street. In fact looking at the walls the water level had dropped I would say around 20/30 centimetres or so from the peak.

I guess the pitch is just saturated tbh.

At least it was called off early, stop away fans making a wasted journey
And players. Problem with rearranging games for this time of year, but guess we’ve little choice this season. A bit worrying for Saturday too if Drain level is right up.

Positive in terms of player fitness/health but so depressing when this was the only thing getting me through work.
A lot of people feel the same, you are not alone.

Try to keep your chin up. Or your chins, if you are Steve Evans.

I was looking forward to that. Mind you it's probably in our interests that the game gets moved on, for another time.
