Totally different game to Saturday. Expect Cambridge to be compact and tight and not give us anything. A game under Kennedy I’d see us drawing but our extra composure and passing through the lines under Skubala gives me confidence.

We can’t give them the first goal and something to hold on to like the Fleetwood game.

Moylan for Draper with House up top probably the only change.

Same starting XI from Sat except Moylan for Draper. Should win this but could be tight. Will go for 2 - 0 to City.

Sounds like Draper is out and off for a scan at some point.

With Oxford at Bolton, Stevenage and Posh tomorrow and Blackpool at Northampton, this is a very good chance for us tonight - we need to make sure we're in a position to take advantage of any lost points from the three above us who, on paper at least, have trickier games.

Some on this Board think ‘expectation’ is almost a criminal offence. Well, there are quite a few of us expecting 3 points tonight… Just have to break Cambridge down, create chances and score a few goals. Think positive. What could possibly go wrong? COYI.

interesting comparison looking at our 3-0 win (won easily) in the early part of skubala development:
makama, duffy, smith, eyoma, burroughs all started (adelakun, vale, brown and shodipo came on)
no hackett, house, sorensen, bishop that night (or moylan, or taylor)
they started okedina, thomas, okenabirhie, ahadme - all now out recovering from long-term injuries... sounds familiar.

then there is a big contrast in ages between the two teams tonight (speed and energy levels? who will get the first 'leggy' comment?):
cambs have added 'their' taylor (age 33), also bennett been playing recently (34), who was on the bench in our reverse game.

That is amazing - those ten outfield players have an average age of over 30!

Ours is 23.

one further thing to look out for, assuming he plays, Cambs right back Bennett (number 2) the baby of the team, is relatively small, and was beaten by duffy on a long mitchell diagonal in the build up to the penalty - the crucial first goal at their place.
that diagonal towards reeco tonight could be a useful weapon.

And yet they are often the same type of supporter who gets all wound up by opposition fans just expecting their team to turn up and roll us over because we are "little Lincoln"...

Very similar type of game to Shrewsbury for me and if we can get the early goal like the Shrewsbury I reckon we'll get the win.
The home game last season was possibly the dullest game of the season 😴
Our home record against these is terrible, again similar to Shrewsbury before the game recently.

This is probably the first of three successive home games, assuming the away game at Oxford is postponed as expected. That will leave us with just two homes from our remaining six games, not the easiest of run-ins.
