Good half. Dominating midfield. Far less aimless balls. Be nice to Vale in the 2nd half.

Is it really so hard for players to stop telling refs to book players?
 
HT. That’s much better Imps. The players are much more positive and willing to try things in the final third, with the result that Erhahon and Hamilton aren’t constantly fighting rearguard actions and can actually play more penetrating balls and even get forward occasionally. It’s also great to see the balls coming into the box are much more penetrating and finding our own players and the players are supporting each other better. The ref is very odd - he’s trying to play advantage but there have been a couple of times when he could have given FKs. Also, why did Jensen get booked? Did he say something? Bloody nose time - 50/50 possession 😳
 
Feels like the second half is going to be one way traffic a la Northampton. We'll need a second on the break and then play it out properly.
 
Hang on in there, lads - it may not end up being pretty but 3 points is 3 points if we can pull it off....
