Thought he did enough to get another run out on Tuesday by the way.
By all accounts he can play left back, left wing back (and NC spoke about wanting the flexibility to play with 3 centre halves after Barrow) and left mid, and NC will know him from the U23 league, so if he feels he's worth a look then I'm onboard with it.
It was very telling today that Garrity, Devitt and Yussuf weren't in the squad. If those 3 leave that leaves us with 17, which then gives us plenty of scope to bring in a left back, a centre half and a couple of centre mids (plus a keeper, but they don't count towards the squad limit).

Couple of negatives from me - Thought their 2nd and 3rd goals came from our mistakes. Big Marv, biushed aside too easily and waited until in the box before fouling him, their 3rd from as crap kick from Maxwell and Virtue caught in possession.
Ward looks lazy in the game and Turton took a touch too much every time, that said we were looking to press and pass and not every team we face will have the skill of Everton.
I love Yates work rate. I like Hamilton, just needs finishing, Nottingham is getting better each time I see him, Virtue - that chance at the end, just take it on your left..........
I like Sarkic and was impressed by Robson.
I would like a CH, I'm still not convinced by Maxwell, would like someone to challenge him as a no1, even if that is Simms. I would also like another forward.
Thought the young LB was worth another look.
I thought Feeney did ok when he came on and Madine looked interested - is there any update on Nuttalls injury?

and hopefully my satellite provider will supply a feed for Tues....

Really impressed with Yates, hasn’t had too many chances so far but just works so hard and looks good with the ball at his feet.
Anderson and Hamilton look the business, I also like the look of Ward - just not sure we can get away with him in a no. 10/midfield 3 against good teams. Virtue coming on just shored up the centre of the pitch. Need someone else in there to pressure teams and just sit in front of the back 4.

Speaks brilliantly doesn't he. Can tell he's really pissed off we didn't win. Love it.

Is this based on us signing another LB to allow Husband to play CB? if that’s the case, I agree we only need 1.
I’m actually struggling to see where loan players will fit in - which is probably the first time I’ve ever thought that with a Blackpool squad. The quality of the loan players would have to be genuinely exciting for them to get into the midfield/attack.

What an enjoyable game, a really impressive performance.
Robson looks a steal, excellent today. Have Sunderland got better?
Agree that we looked more stable with Virtue and Robson. Antwi another option.
I think Anderson, Sarkic and Ward are perhaps competing for one place, behind the front three?
I expect NC to swap things around though.

To be fair to Blackpool, I was impressed with the way they played. (I realise it was their last preseason game and they are starting their league soon.)
Their first goal was worthy of any Prem team. Great pass to put the scorer in.

The first 15 minutes were surreal. They could have had six.
