Remember the Tale of the Elephant and the Mouse
I know this is wishful thinking at this early stage in this domestic cup competition but City could make another mark in the history books by winning it for a consecutive fifth time.
Wycombe are in the EFL League One, much too early in the season to mention their position in the League, only to say that they will be considered a banana skin. Pep Guardiola has always taken this competition seriously but he does take the opportunity to play those players who may keep the bench seat warmer than other players.
The ever growing injury list brings with it the chance for the Academy players to shine and yes like Skoorb has already pointed out, that City will be branded as disrespecting The Carabao Cup, but that boat has sailed with a host of Clubs not playing their strongest teams and in some respects City will have an eye on the weekend match with the impressive Tommy Tickle's Chelsea and City will want to play their main men at the fixture and suffer the wrath and ridicule of the media should City fail to progress.
A good Pub Quiz question to date (and I hope this is not a curse) name all the winners of the Carabao Cup.
There will be a winner tonight.
No extra time straight to penalties if still a draw at the end of 90 minutes
City Team News

I'll give it a go, what do you think?
