Everything but the finish
Stockdale is called into action again as De Bruyne fires another effort at goal.
It comes from a short corner, with the Belgian driving past his man into the box and trying to replicate his earlier goal, but this time it's too close to the Chairboys' goalkeeper, who gathers it comfortably.

Nice!
The Wycombe defence are unlocked again as Foden releases Sterling with a ball over the top.
He tries to square it first time to Torres who is waiting to knock it in from inside the six-yard box, but the winger's pass goes straight into the arms of Stockdale.

The Dips are winning at Norwich, but I cannot understand Norwich playing a much weakened team against Liverpool who are, it was a great chance for the bottom side to gain some confidence, not being involved in Europe they could have afforded top throw the kitchen sink at it, but are losing 2-0 to Liverpool B side

Survival in the league tops everything

Media will be on the cusp of switching from the “City scrape past lower league opponents” ……to “City are really, really mean to lower league team”

GOAL! Torres. City 4-1 Wycombe
Torres gets in on the action!
It's a vintage Guardiola goal.
City keep the ball, with pass after pass around the edge of the Wycombe area, waiting for a gap in the Chairboys' defence and when it arrives the ball from Foden is superb.
The midfielder curls a teasing low pass in the corridor of uncertainty between the goalkeeper and his defence to give Torres a simple tap in at the far post.
Wonderful!

Disallowed goal
Raheem Sterling has the ball in the back of the net, but the assistant referee's flag is up and City are denied a fifth.

Blocked
De Bruyen's low drive is blocked by Tafazolli as City are denied a slick goal on the counter.
There was a quite brilliant touch from Mahrez in the build-up to that, poking the ball away from the full-back which allowed Palmer to send him clear down the right.
