GOAL! Man City 1-1 Man Utd (Foden, 56)

ANOTHER STUNNER!
Foden drifts inside an unleashes a corker. Wow, wow, wow.
That is an absolute treat from Foden's left boot. Top bins.
Two goals of the highest quality in this game, befitting of any derby day clash.

GOAL - Man City 2-1 Man Utd

Phil Foden
Manchester City's hero!!
Phil Foden gets his second of the game and City lead the derby for the first time.
He picks up the ball deep and plays it to Julian Alvarez on the edge of the box.
Foden continues his run and Alvarez picks him out with the England man hammering a shot into the far bottom corner.

Man City 2-1 Man Utd

Sky Sports' Gary Neville at the Etihad Stadium:
"He doesn't get the accolades of Haaland or De Bruyne. But they must start coming soon. A hat-trick last year, two so far this year.
Casemiro can't match his run. Onana gets a hand on it but he's down late. It bends those fingers back.
"It's a big 15 minutes in this title race but that man Phil Foden has delivered."

GOAL! Man City 3-1 Man Utd (Haaland, 90+2)

He's barely had a sniff, but Erling Haaland gets his compulsory goal.
Amrabat gets his pocket picked by Rodri in a less than ideal position on the edge of the area, and the midfielder then has the composure to poke the ball through to Haaland unmarked.
The forward opens his body up and side-foots into the far left.
GAME OVER!

Man City 3-1 Man Utd

Sky Sports' Gary Neville at the Etihad Stadium:
"There have been Manchester United performances in the last few months where you thought they were well below par. Poor defensively and poor in structure.
"Today, they've done their very best and were tactically set up well. But they're just playing against an outfit who have worn them down in the end.
"Persistence, consistency of movement and passing."

GOAL - Man City 3-1 Man Utd

Erling Haaland
Inevitable.
Erling Haaland isn't going to take no goals for an answer.
Moments after Kevin de Bruyne curls a shot just wide from outside the box, United make a mess of playing it out from the back.
Rodri wins the ball and feeds Haaland, who slots the ball into the bottom corner.

Post update

Man City 3-1 Man Utd
Manchester United were probably happy to see the board up for eight minutes. They'll wish it hadn't happened now.

'Silva has orchestrated everything'

Keeping Haaland quiet is a job!
City's organisation and concentration, even at 1-0 down I thought they would get a goal.
Bernardo Silva has organised and orchestrated everything that has gone on in the second half - he has been outstanding.

Man City 3-1 Man Utd

Sky Sports' Gary Neville at the Etihad Stadium:
"Manchester City couldn't afford to drop points today, the way the title race is going and the games they've got coming up. Liverpool next, Arsenal after that.
"They've got a huge few weeks to come. This is the start of it. A little bit of a scare early on but they've got the job done."

Neville: 'Special' Foden cold as ice

Sky Sports' Gary Neville at the Etihad Stadium:
"Sometimes, derby matches can be emotional and passionate affairs. But for local players, those who have come through the academy it means a lot. Phil Foden is as cold as ice.
"Today, the special talent that for years has been described as potential and promise is here to stay. He's such a wonderful player.
"It's important it's him. City go into the title run-in in a strong position."

Man City 3-1 Man Utd

FT! All over. Phil Foden the prize performer for Manchester City.
His double and a late Erling Haaland strike secures all three precious points for the hosts.
Marcus Rashford scored a stunning opener but that was never going to be enough. City have too much talent, too much nouse.
They came roaring back in this second period and Erik ten Hag's side were powerless to prevent it.
