I think the nerves set in in the first half not wanting to concede a goal, but City lost Nathan Ake at Half Time and Ruben Dias came on to complete his first game for a while, but Stones then left with a knock.
The nerves were settled by Mahrez after VAR had done thier best to rule it out but found nothing to cancel the lead and that was followed by a Thunderbastard deflected but they all count and the nerves disappeared and Bernardo hit the best of the night from an assist by man of the Match and City had chances to increase the score but ran out 3-0 and are back on top of the pile.

Strange that we were nervous, we should be used to this.

What a title race this is. Manchester City return to the top of the Premier League with six games remaining, leading Liverpool by a single point.

Chelsea's grip on third has loosened slightly following their home defeat by Arsenal, which sees the Gunners move level on points with Tottenham in the battle for a top-four place.

It's all to play for.

Phil Foden made his 50th Premier League start for Manchester City – aged 21 years and 327 days.

He became the youngest to start 50 games for City since Joe Hart in January 2009 (21y 287d) and the youngest to ever start 50 top-flight games under Pep Guardiola, overtaking Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets in November 2010 (22y 120d).

I am sure Klipperty is somewhere in there and no sign of Taggart

Man City manager Pep Guardiola talking to Sky Sports: "We have just one month to finish the Premier League and we know what we have to do. If we drop two points Liverpool will be champions,.

"We have real tough fixtures ahead of us.

"When Kevin de Bruyne is fit and mentally ready, he is an incredible special player and that was a great performance.

"The last five years have been outstanding what we have done. The players give everything."https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/60809979

Guardiola - You have to be in the UCL
Pep Guardiola's reaction on City confirming our place in next season's Champions League...

"The people take it for granted. You have to be in the UCL. Look how many contenders there are.

"What happened mathematically is because we have done it really well. If you asked all the teams in the PL what is the main target for the CEO, the owners, the Chairmans it is to qualify for the UCL.

"For stability, economically. We have done it again."

I'll be honest - I didn't expect that margin of result at half time with our first half display.

Brighton were solid, but didn't pose a threat to Ederson really, and our play was laboured at times. Mahrez had one half chance with the header, and a golden one following the keeper's mistake, but took one touch too many.

A superb driving run by KDB through the heart of the defence to set up Mahrez, and, taking into account Skoorb's comment in the MDT, an element of luck for the first two goals with the deflections, but I don't care!

Great pressing by Zinchenko to win the ball initially for the third, but I thought Cancelo in particular was sloppy with his distribution tonight. Again, the number of times we lost the second ball, plus tackles when we looked the favourite to win it, was a concern to me during the game.

Hopefully the knocks picked up by Ake and Stones are not too serious, but it looks as though Zinchenko will start on Saturday, with Sterling, Grealish, and Jesus to come it.

It was all about the win and three points, the same again on Saturday, and hopefully Liverpool are then playing catch up on Sunday.
They've got their local derby, I think, so will be expected to win, but Everton have picked up a couple of results in their last two games, so let's just see what happens.
