Sky Sports' Sam Blitz:

"And City click into gear. Bournemouth were so good at stopping those type of passes but they are carved open with some slick passing.

"Doku has been a threat on the wing in the opening half an hour but this time he strikes through the middle. Some talent, this boy."

Man City 2-0 Bournemouth

Sky Sports' Sam Blitz:
"Wow, wow, that's even more impressive from Doku.
"He has been a constant pain for Bournemouth on the left, through the middle and now the right.
"The skills are so outrageous that Mepham cannot get close to him - that allows Bernardo to get the goal he so richly deserved last week."

GOAL - Man City 1-0 Bournemouth

Jeremy Doku (30 mins)
Well it had been becoming.
Jeremy Doku plays a little one-two with Rodri on the edge of the penalty area and sends a right-footed effort into the bottom right corner and out of reach of goalkeeper Andrei Radu.
It's a bit of a scuffed shot, to be honest, but City won't care.
Well deserved, he's been very lively so far.

GOAL! Man City 3-0 Bournemouth (Akanji, 37)

DOKU INVOLVED AGAIN - BUT THIS ONE WILL GO TO AKANJI!
Man City take a corner short. Kovacic shuffles it on to Bernardo Silva - who has been involved in everything good from City.
He picks out Doku on the edge of the D and after turning away from Billing he shoots at goal. His effort is going just wide until it glances in off Akanji's back!
That will be his first Premier League goal! They all count, as they say!

THREE GOALS ANALYSED 🗣

HOWEY ON GOAL 1: The fullback doesn’t know to stick or twist, show him inside or out? He plays a great one two with Rodri, he uses the pace to hit the shot. I wasn’t sure if it was a scuff, but he fed it in lovely.
LESCOTT ON GOAL 2: He has so much control but it looks chaotic. His legs move so fast. His fake shot or cross, is the same tempo as his actual cross. He’s so effective at doing that, he’ll drag it back under his boot. Bernardo recognised the opportunity to score, he saw the space and waited for it.
CURLE ON GOAL 3: It was slightly going wide so it has to be an Akanji goal. That’s the type of goal I wouldn’t mind scoring!

GOAL! Man City 4-0 Bournemouth (Foden, 64)

DOKU INVOLVED AGAIN! And just when Bournemouth thought they were getting a foothold...
The winger drives at his man. Aarons doesn't know which way he's going to go before he prods a pass to Foden who finishes from close range.

GOAL! Man City 5-1 Bournemouth (Silva, 83)

Man City have two players claiming this one!
Bernardo - a superstar in the first half - thinks he may have scored a delicious goal here. Driving through after a pass from Ake and dinking the ball over Radu.
A Bournemouth defender is back to hack it away - but it may have already crossed the line.
Nunes then makes sure - but goal-line tech gives it to the little magician Bernardo!

GOAL! Man City 6-1 Bournemouth (Ake, 88)

Bournemouth old boy Ake dives to head in a sixth for City!
City work a corner short - as they have done all afternoon - and it eventually leads to Bobb blasting a cross through the six-yard box.
Ake throws himself at it and his reward is a goal which makes the margin of victory even bigger.

the 2nd goalfor City scored by Bernardo

Manchester City defender Nathan Ake speaking to Sky Sports:

"It shows that we want to continue what we've been doing. Last week was a good game but the league goes on and you have to keep going and keep winning.

"We expected them [Bournemouth] to play with four defenders as they have all season but they changed to five. It's about finding the spaces, Jeremy [Doku] was fantastic sometimes you need individual quality to open up the game and he did that he was fantastic."

On Doku: "His personality, he works hard, he's a good guy and he gets on with everyone. He's not shy to show his abilities, he wants to take everyone on even in training. He's so difficult to mark and he's going to be important this season.

"There's always improvement to be made, Pep [Guardiola] is never happy or settled and neither are we we have to keep going and improving."

if a blank sheet, he would get a 1 :clown: today
He let a lot go. Bourmnemouth guilty of a lot of what I call ‘shitty’ fouls - holding - no none of which were punished. VAR let him down. I am convinced the Bournemouth scorer was ahead of the ball when it was played across. VAR were pretty shite.
