Simon Grayson wouldn't motivate me to run a bath.

If rumours are correct, Paul Lambert had three games in which to save his job - he has taken one point from those three. Will he be next?

If he is, with that contract it will be a very expensive admission of a mistake by the Ipswich board - which of course everyone else thinks it is, including most Ipswich supporters.

Severance clause after two years apparently, so it would cost them less than a year's wages to get rid. That is still a lot of money - he is rumoured to be League One's highest paid manager on £400,000 a year. I'm not sure how anyone would know that, though.

Watching the continued troubles at Charlton, Sunderland and Ipswich is pretty hilarious given their status and the fans belief they should be higher. It is not all manager related but it does help!!!

The cocktail bar clientelle amongst the pub teams!

This is probably Grayson's last chance to get some credit back in the bank. He's been desperately poor in his last 3 jobs.

He'll bore the Fleetwood lot to tears with his defensive football. It was painful watching Blackpool at our place last season.

No that was Cherie Lunghi back in 1989.

If I remember rightly Warren Clarke the Chairman was a bit dodgy and he thought it would be a gimmick but she did really well. Then the dodgy chairman wanted to put a supermarket on the old open terrace at Elm Park and it all went pear shaped.

Wasn't that a TV drama?

It is difficult to know where to go. AFCW are not in a great place - crippling stadium debt, no supporters to pay for it, a poor squad. I applaud them for thinking outside the box, the same old journeyman manager carousel doesn't really work anymore. Look at Ham Saladyce - what impact has he had so far at West Brom? Lincoln went for an almost unknown non-league manager, and look what happened. You have to do plenty of homework of course, and there are no guarantees you will get the right one. But here's the thing: you just might.
