Blackpool and Reading have registered their interest in signing Charlton Athletic defender Terell Thomas ahead of the January window.
Both League One clubs are looking to bolster their defensive options ahead of the second half of the season and are weighing up moves for the St Lucia international.
Thomas, 28, is entering the final six months of his contract at Charlton.
The experienced defender is adept at playing both left-back and centre-back and has been a key part of Charlton’s squad this season.
He has made 20 appearances across all competitions for the Londoners, including 17 in League One.
Thomas started the 2023/24 season by making 15 consecutive league starts but he has since fallen down the pecking order and appeared in just two of their last eight fixtures.
Thomas started his career at The Valley after graduating from Charlton’s youth academy in 2014, but he failed to make a senior appearance for the club before leaving for Wigan Athletic in 2017.
Following a successful stint at Sutton United, Thomas then moved to AFC Wimbledon in 2018 where he spent three years and made 90 first-team appearances.
The versatile defender then had brief spells at Crewe Alexandra and Reading before moving back to Charlton in September 2022.
A move back to Reading is on the cards despite Thomas making just two senior appearances for the Royals during his previous stint at the Madejski Stadium
