Wonder if EM will do an interview at the end of the season on all this? Would love him to especially if we survive

Should put it on PPV 🤣

Maybe they should have a two match charity boxing event - Keane vs Richards and Merry Knackers vs Neville…

If we survive , I really would rather he didnt

If we dont, we should go nuclear if we can via any available legal process if there is legitimately a good case

I still think this needs challenging if we stay up

It’s absolutely preposterous that we could be forced to sell our main assets, becuase of their anti competitive and not fit for purpose rules

Next season there could be easily be 5/6 clubs with deductions. Now, most of those clubs will have voted for these rules so you could say fuck them. Under no circumstances should we be forced to sell MGW or Murillo to satisfy this BS shortfall

That needs challenging somehow. We’re the only club which didn’t vote for these rules and have been hampered by this

People will say Luton too, and now possibly Ipswich. Luton will never spend, the club is minuscule and can’t support that. Ipswich have a year of L1 allowances for next year so they are in a worse position than us

If the PL won’t accept our Covid or promo right offs which the EFL did, they how the fuck can they then arbitrarily place a PL club under these ‘EFL’ rules?

Go nuclear EM while holding the euro conference league trophy!!!

I'm not sure about this "go nuclear" metaphor.

Nuclear equals MAD.

Surely, it should be go "conventional munitions"?

no. are people genuinely buying into the idea that PL and PGMOL are above reproach? or that there is no requirement to hold these groups accountable?

this is on a par with advocates of strettonomics.
The Independent panel is made up of respectable professionals, KCs and the like.
They ARE beyond reproach.

I have turned the page on this debacle. There is nothing we can do now.

We should turn our vent onto the media - particularly SKY and Neville, Carragher etc. should never be allowed near the WFCG again.

Did you see the Carragher & Ashley Young double act on SKY before the Palace v Man Utd match - they were literally taking the piss out of us.

yet they are happy to get paid to wave this through. their credibility has taken a hit imo.

just to be clear being a professional does NOT put you beyond reproach.
Absolutely

Lawyers have no issue defending mass murderers for a fantastic pay check despite knowing they are guilty. If any profession in society needs to be challenged more than most it’s the legal system

And I am saying this one week away from traveling to LA to attend my daughter’s law school graduation from Loyola Law School.

Couldn’t be prouder or more in awe of her dedication to 7 long years of study (and stupid US school debt) to follow her dream.

BUT, same approach applies to her once she enters the profession. She will be under scrutiny and not beyond approach despite the calibre of individual intellect And in a highly paid profession

The most positive spin I can put on this is that, they secretly hope we get enough points to stay up. That might sound nuts , but if reducing the penalty makes it more likely that Sheff Utd, Burnley and Luton take legal action then they would want to avoid that. If they keep the 4 points deduction, then their answer would be that those teams were at least 4 points worse than us.

Bit of a stretch I know !
not a stretch for me, i thought everton had that original deduction because it looked like they could overcome it , perfect outcome really if they can punish fairly without the dam lawyers taking over

might as well say nobody bar ghandi is trustworthy and let the world fall apart then really

That's a very dangerous point of view, once you set people up as being beyond reproach, you are giving them a golden opportunity to take advantage of their status.
theres a word for that, i think it has a t r u m and a p in it haha

so are everton still going ahead with their appeal?
Haven’t seen anything to say they have stopped. Only problem is that one of their grounds is that the two points should apply next season rather than this…

Not at all. Being ‘beyond reproach’ is something an individual earns. It is not a status that a profession is granted.

Rt Hon Lord Dyson (chair) A former British judge and barrister. He was Master of the Rolls and Head of Civil Justice, the second most senior judge in England and Wales, from 2012 to 2016, and a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2012.

David Phillps KC: A senior silk working from 30 Park Place Chambers, Cardiff and Wilberforce Chambers, London. He has an established reputation as a strategist and advocate in the field of Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution. David is also highly regarded in the fields of Sport, Professional Negligence, and EU Transport Regulation

Daniel Alexander KC: Barrister specialising principally in intellectual property, media and entertainment, information technology (IT Silk of the Year, 2007), EC and commercial lawn.

If you think that these highly decorated and experienced men would risk their reputation and income on whether NFFC get 2 points back or not, to keep the relegation battle alive, then you are fucking hat-stand.
