Don't think it would have worked personally so glad he turned it down. Thought Ronnie James Dio was perfect for them, shame it turned out just two albums (one later as well but that wasn't as good in my humble) as they were classics.

Think two of them are pretty anonomous really, not terrible albums but not fantastic.

Gillen didn't make it onto record, Gillan did.
