Good Morning Thread

Good morning all.
Black as Newgates Knocker here , this morning .
raining cats and dogs . Not even a break in the clouds over Wilfs Mothers !
I think it’s going to be a day doing nuffink , although I might count how many green shield stamps I have and see what’s on offer .
Hope you all have a good day day . Stay alert . Stay strong . Look after each other.

Morning all...Walthy I can swap some of my luncheon vouchers for some of your green shield stamps ...do you a good deal mate!

EX like your current other half I too look at cleavage and nipples when I can ......I tend not to quote a price though.

Raining here as well should brighten up later ...might go on a shitmachine patrol

Bloke next door has had the jab - Oxford....he is 0ver 70 and his missus is under 70 and has not had it yet .... said he felt pretty grotty aches and head aches ear aches for 24 hours - fine now.

Given european countries are not as confident of over 65 getting Oxford as our govt/Sage, it makes you wonder given the neighbours reaction, but I reckon they are just being more careful awaiting more data OR more likely just being shitty cos they all seem to have a gripe with Astrazenica.

If I am offered Oxford when my turn comes I will gladly take .....I don't care where I do my masters.

Update on the steam mop affair....(I know you are all waiting for this with baited breath ha ha).

Wife researched the market and decided on a new different model (with detergent FFS) which apparently makes the steam work better on ground in dirt dead cat stains, sticky spilt whisky stains (not on yer life would there be any).

Went for a VAX ordered it free next day delivery....arrived...opened the box to check and found they had failed to put in the mop head or carpet glide....so 15 minute wait time and then their customer services answered and immediately ordered the missing parts which are in transit. Who would believe their packers could only put in two thirds of an item eh!

I know you all really wanted to read that shit!

Take care all one more day to our next capitulation game....can't wait..I am gonna put a bet on Chelski to win so that it becomes a 'win win' whatever tthe result....either another bottle of malt courrtesy of Sky bet or Bet365 or Ladbrokes or others depending on odds offerd to drown my Spurs sorrows or a celebration at my personal expense and happy I had a losing bet!

Morning all, still pissing down here, cloudy but not so chilly.

Walt asked about our friends earlier, well we got a report early this morning...
Firstly my oppo's wife who contracted Covid is doing very well, so thumbs up.

Secondly my oppo has been put into an induced coma, put to lay on his belly so as to get more oxygen, that bit I no understandee, but generally he is not good, so thumbs down with massive hopes and prayers.

Now an update on Mrs PY, she had a number of blood tests last week, think I told you all, results back yesterday afternoon, not bad but a worry according to her GP, ex-military and really funny/down to earth geezer!, who rang us earlier, Colesterol levels, though down but wrong side of smiley face, safe, ie 6.9 not 4.0, so an increase in Statin intake, has to be done slowly because of reaction fear.

About 2 months ago I discussed with EX, Mrs PY being afraid to take the jab, and EX informed us about an RSD/CRPS specialist in the Smoke, well having wrote to Mrs PY's GP's regards her fear and telling em about the RSD/CRPS specialist, it appears they did Contact a Mr/DR Williams top notch in the NHS regards RSD/CRPS, with regards to Mrs PY's concerns, his reply was as she suffers with that ailment whole body, which is rare, she must have the Vaccine or quite simply, if she contracts Covid she will die, no way will they be able to help her, apparently according to the GP it was said in no uncertain terms.

Thus after further chatting with her GP, her finally agreeing, they are organising someone to come out and Vaccinate her, she asked if whilst doing this could they do me also, it appears that will take further organising, talk about making things hard.

Well that all folks, byedy bye, will stop now until later lol!

Look after yourselves, keep smiling and be happy.

Well done Pomp for sorting this (with EX help) you must be so relieved and this is a path forward that you are both happy with.
Thanks for that Greavsie, yes it has taken a massive weight off of both our shoulders/minds, fact is Mrs PY is actually looking forward to her Vaccine now, strange eh! relief I suppose, also her GP does not eff about, her new meds arrived at 2pm this after.

It turns out after checking, the RSD/CRPS expert wasn't the one EX suggested, but it was that suggestion that kicked the GP's into action, so in a roundabout way it was because of EX, so a big thanks mate from me and Mrs PY.

Good morning all .
I think I’ve calmed down now , and raring to go for the next game , when we dissect the the chavs and expose the flaws in Tuchels management skills .!!!!!!

Good to see Hod back ,, well done mate . Thanks for your thoughts about my wife . She is doing absolutely great , we both are .
She has a skin thing on the side of her nose that is giving us concern at the moment .
She forced through a virtual meeting with her doctor , posting a photo and having a consultation on the phone . He said she will have to live with it as the NHS doesn’t do cosmetic surgery .
As it seems to have got worse , and the nurses who come in to do her wound commented on it , she forced through another virtual meeting and he agreed to send her for a consultation with a skin specialist .
The worrying thing is ., this is the same doctor that said her stomach problems were down to eating too eating too much veg that we grew on the allotment .
We know how that ended up .

Bloody clever weather app that came with my iPhone is now giving a weather forecast for the road we live in , saying currently it is drizzling ( well , we know that , our windows can tell tell us that ! ...). but it will last for the next twenty minutes ! Now that’s handy .

As you may have seen , I haven’t done the predictor league , again , this week . It really hasn’t altered for the last three games , .

We have some of the finest football brains on the planet on this forum , but Jose is confounding the lot of us .
Each and everyone of knows how to beat Brighton , but we have to pay some bloke fifteen million pounds a year to engineer a way to not beat them .
It’s a bit like fifty years ago , when the world was a normal place and we could go about our business in relative peace.
Britannia ruled the waves , ....VAR didn’t rule the laws . Don’t get me going on that ....
We went to football matches and and got involved .
We saw someone on the other side handle the ball , Eleven players would appeal for it , forty thousand home supporters would appeal for it , in absolute unison and one bloke in black in the middle would say .... No .... play on.!
That’s how I feel now with Jose . Everyone can see the what is wrong but the bloke that matters just says . ..... No . ... play on .

Any how , I’m rambling again .
Ive got my jab tomorrow evening and can t wait .
Massive thank you to everyone involved in the work that results in me me getting an injection .
I have no idea of what work has gone on to get this sorted , but the people involved , even down to the person who put their self in the position to text me , and the person who will sit behind a mask to inject me ...... I can’t thank you enough
One day I maybe be able to find a way to say that . ..........

Hope you are all well . Walts ramblings are done for the day .
Take care , look after each other .
Stay safe. Keep alert .
Hods back , Harry has been peeping , even Chiv had a crafty look on here a while back .
RD has posted again , so has Jonesy . .

Ramble on brother, ramble on!

Good morning all .
I had my jab yesterday evening .
What a lovely evening it was , down by the sea, views of the Isle of Wight , clear skies , stars atwinkling , calm sea , and a shot of Pfizer .
I have to say , it was very well done ,
I was met at reception with a gun to my head , had my name taken , DOB , and crossed off of one list .
Passed on to another receptionist , name taken again and given a printed A4 sheet with all my details on it , under a bar code .

Passed on to a “runner “ who escorted me , socially distant, to my lovely matronly nurse , who asked me my name , Date of Birth , (they are obsessed with that , I’m sure they couldn’t believe how old I really was !!! )... and all sorts of other questions .
All very personal , but needed .
Then she asked me if it was ok to give me a jab . !
was it ok ? I was about to slip her a tenner at that stage !
Any how , jabbed me she did , I didn’t feel a thing , .... then escorted to a waiting room for ten minutes whilst another very lovely bloke was giving an instructional speech about not thinking you are invincible now .
Saying something about walking into Tesco’s, waving your passport in one hand and your mask in the other ! :wagging:
How did he know we were going to Tesco’s afterwards . Amazing .
We only needed a tub of ice cream and a bottle of gold watch ....

But ,, what fantastic people , in all seriousness , these people are giving up so much . ...
time , expertise , putting themselves on the front line , making everyone feel safe , so professional , so charming , everyone with a smile on their faces , under a mask of course, you can’t see it , but you know it’s there .....
And it’s not just one or two .... there must have been around thirty of them there , and that’s without the office staff in the background .
Processing all the paperwork , arranging the next appointment , to coincide with the correct type of vaccine , because they don’t mix the types on the second innings ,.
Truly unbelievable .
I am just in awe ...... :tophat:

We got out , back into the car park , just in time to applaud Captain Sir Tom Moore .
Wonderful .
There were even people pulling up in their cars and getting out .

I did ask about my wife getting a jab , they took our phone number , but could not say . I’m not surprised , seeing as how busy they were .
She should hear next week , they said .

So then it was the starry starry night moment .
, off to Tesco’s and home .
Bowl of ice cream at seven , gold watch at ten , early night at midnight .

What a wonderful health service we have .

Hope you are all well .
Have a good day .
stay alert , stay strong .
Look after each other. . ..... just as all these other wonderful people are looking after us .

Did you get a badge?

You are now officially Jabberwoky and can jabber on as much as you like (oh you already do that)

To all Jabberwockies I salute you and so does Lewis Caroll

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
