Forest v Man United - FA Cup Ticket Prices

Really?
As a protest vote?
I agree it is a lot of money - but when are we going to get a better opportunity to watch our team knock the mighty Man Utd out of the FA Cup
Not a protest vote, I just don't want to spend the money.

After not playing Man Utd for 23 years, we'll have played them 7 times in two. I've seen Man Utd three times in these two years.

And I just know that by the time I get round to thinking about it, I won't be able to get my seat, so someone else can have it

Some may be fine with this or just don't care, but I'm appalled that our club is so blatantly seeking to profiteer from it's own fan base - see pricing below.

I've been to both FA Cup home games (in my normal seat) and Bristol City away, but for myself, wife, father & daughter it will cost £150 for these match tickets (same family group of Utd Fans in away end = £85).

I don't tend to complain often (I've emailed the club today, probably should know better as it's largely futile but unless the club are made aware, they will continue to do this).... but I really do think this is unfair for all Forest fans and this will backfire on NFFC!!

It's fine whilst we are in EPL, but how many of our new found fans will attend if we get relegated?

I've also noticed a significant increase in away fans in the home sections this season, especially the last 2 EPL games against Arsenal & Newcastle and with so many plastics wanting tickets - it would be very easy to secure our 4 guaranteed seats and then sell them on at a profit.

Not saying this is right, but this is obviously happening.

Rant over!

Must admit as a lifelong Forest fan whatever happens, the club really isn't doing itself any favours at the moment. Having not been allowed to renew our Upper Trent End season tickets following promotion, then being charged nearly £100 to be on a list to buy tickets (up from £40) , I tend to watch tv games at home. Won't make any difference to the club when they are in the PL, but they do risk losing fans if we go down. Will go if I can get Upper Trent tickets, but not paying £45 for a game I can watch on the BBC.

Why weren't you allowed to renew your season tickets?

Having complained about the cost, you are now in the position of having a £50 profit, which could be used to buy two of the Trent End tickets, which if you bought another two would then allow all four of you to go for £50, or £12.50 each!

I very much doubt they will make general sale, far too many local plastics keen to get tickets!

Problem is, if you take the profit and the tickets end up with United fans and it kicks off in the ground, you will be the one dragged over the coals
I know, but these are friends, live locally and never get chance to see their team.

If ever I can't get to a home game, I give my season card away for free and never had trouble before - but, that is typically to Forest fans.

The thing is they shouldn't do.
They can only get their hands on tickets if Forest fans (Season ticket holders & members) sell them on. All ticket sales are recorded and can be tracked. If anyone is found to do that they should be banned from purchasing tickets in the future.
It's already happening Geedo.... kicked off in TE lower v Arsenal.

Some Geordies were escorted out in LBC this weekend too, same against Spurs earlier in the season.

TE Lower reminded me of being back at school when someone yells "FFFIIIIGGGHHHHTTTTT".

The whole stand was like a herd of meerkats trying to get a view of the drama. I'm there in the disability seats with a broken ankle and couldn't see a damn thing 😂

I not saying it isn’t happening.
But it needs to be stopped - this is exactly what happened at West Brom v Wolves - look how that ended.
There are ways to identify who has sold on their seat. They need to be banned.

Why weren't you allowed to renew your season tickets?

Every season they have had TWO renewal periods. Early (cheaper) and end of the season. At the time of the early renewal, I had knee trouble, and my son was planning on moving house. In the end he moved to Staffordshire, so we still go to half the games, but for the first time in years (ever?) , there was no end of season renewal allowed.

That's unlucky, sorry to hear that

It’s just disgusting money grabbing, any money made will be swallowed by the wages for one week of a player who hasn’t played in our trolley dash transfer market
Better than falling further outside FFP and getting sanctions.
This game is the tie of the round; it will be on telly; Forest season tickets are among the cheapest in the Premier League. I don't understand all the moaning.

Some people on here would like the club to be run like a branch of social services. It's a business in a money focused sport based industry. As someone else has said, this is the tie of the round and I for one would be unhappy if it wasn't milked as such.

I'm moaning about the complicated system for buying tickets.

It's probably because I am old and grumpy.

There are ways to identify those who sell on, but it obviously isn't happening!

With the current state of the economy, there are so many Gold/Pro members or SC Holders that can make a few quid by buying & then selling their seat occasionally - in some instances (& I can point to 3 seats within feet, near to where we sit), it is happening 60-70% of the time.

The point is, with games like this and such a daft pricing structure - where there will be high demand from locals (plastics or otherwise), the club are perpetuating the problem.

Thought process....

=> Midweek game on BBC, so rather than spending £150 + petrol/parking/refreshments etc - I can make at least £50 and avoid all the hassle/stress of trying to finish work, drive to Nottingham, get home late etc etc.

=> If my club can so cynically profiteer from me, why shouldn't I do it?

PS - I'm not saying this will happen - obviously, I want to go to the game - but, I will not deter from the fact that this is unfair!

*Despite emailing 3 separate accounts at NFFC yesterday, with my complaint - I have had no response at all.

I am a long standing customer, I got my first ST (with my son) whilst in L1 (broken ankle & age, pretty much ended get paid for playing Saturdays) & have had it since, adding 2 more STs along the way - but for NFFC to not even respond is woeful*

Given that it is FA Cup, the amount we make is 1/3rd (other 2/3rds shared with Utd & FA) and yet, only certain fans are having to pay the inflated price!

As I keep saying, if it was a UNIFORM tiered pricing structure for all fans - I would have no problem with that, that would be fair!
