Years and years ago, ( God I'm old!), I was visiting a cousin who was in the Andrew at Plymouth, we went to see us at Exeter and I seem to remember a large privet hedge at the back of the away end!?.

Think your memory is correct.

Bizarre that I've never seen us play in Exeter. Had a girlfriend at Uni there in early 90s so spent many weekends there. Know I went to Torquay to see us on one such visit, but never St James's (guessing they were a division above?).

We didn't play there between Nov 89 and Sept 94.
