Derek Draper, the author and former political adviser, has died aged 56, his wife Kate Garraway has said.
Draper had been living with extreme complications from Covid since contracting the disease in March 2020.

Franz Beckenbauer, German football captain, manager linked to Blatters fraud towards the end passed aged 78.

JPR Williams. Welsh Rugby legend passed aged 74.

JPR Williams was one of my boyhood heroes along with Gareth Edwards...
 
Radio broadcaster and television presenter Annie Avril Nightingale CBE has died aged 83.
She was an English radio and television broadcaster. She was the first female presenter on BBC Radio 1 in 1970.

RIP Annie. She was the female equivalent of John Peel and championed punk/new wave acts through her work on the OGWT.

Long-time Wimbledon tournament referee Alan Mills has died at the age of 88, the ATP Tour has announced.

Mills was the All-England Club's referee from 1983 to 2005, earning the nickname of 'Rain Man' for ordering the covers on when rain stopped play.

He was awarded an OBE in 1996, a CBE in 2006 and a RIP in 2024
