Actor John Savident, best known for playing Fred Elliott in Coronation Street, has died aged 86, his agent has announced.
The actor was famous for his booming voice while playing the local butcher on the ITV soap.

Dave Myers, one half of TV cooking duo The Hairy Bikers, has died at the age of 66.

Always came across as a really good bloke. RIP
 
Bernard Hill, Yosser Hughes in Boys from the Blackstuff has died aged 79. Ironically he stars in series 2 of The Responder which started on tv last night.

Colin Gibb, a founding member of the novelty pop group Black Lace, has died aged 70.
The band were best known for their hits Agadoo, Superman and Do The Conga.

He's pushed that 🍍 for the last time.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.

Former world snooker champion Ray Reardon has died at the age of 91.
The Welshman, who had previously been diagnosed with cancer, died on Friday evening, his wife Carol said.
Rearon dominated snooker in the 1970s, claiming six world titles between 1970 and 1978.
Nicknamed 'Dracula' because of his distinctive widow's peak hairstyle, he became a star as the game enjoyed a television boom.
He won the first Pot Black series on BBC Two in 1969 and was made an MBE in the 1985 Queen's Birthday honours.

John Anderson, best known for his role as referee on the TV series Gladiators, has died aged 92.

The Scottish sports coach appeared in the game show's original ITV run, which aired from 1992 to 2000, and its short-lived 2008 revamp on Sky.

He lent his voice to the famous catch-phrase: "Contender, ready! Gladiator, ready!"

Former England and Surrey batter Graham Thorpe has died aged 55, the England and Wales Cricket Board has announced.
Thorpe played 100 Tests for England between 1993 and 2005, as well as 82 one-day internationals.
A stylish left-handed batter, he scored 6,744 Test runs for England, including 16 centuries, at an average of 44.66.

Howzat..... out.
