In the last 12 months we've given him 2 pro contracts. The last one was a bit rushed with all the interest in the player and uncertainty with ownership so only one till 2018.

Supposedly he couldn't sign a 3rd one before 18.

Honestly believe he will sign a new contract with us.

Still think he has a way to go. If he played CF and scored more goals like he started we could have received more dangerous bids but possibly this has been a masterstroke by Warburton and at the same time rounding Brereton's game even more.
 
I'm not in agreement with the fact that we've signed a player called Max Ram from Leicester.

Isn't he 18 now?

I'm guessing we've tried to get him to sign a longer contract but he has stalled on us?

As it stands then he is under contract til next season?

But if he continues to stall and runs that contract down aren't we still entitled to a fee for him or compensation due to his age?

I'm trying to figure out what the player has to gain by not signing a bigger or better contract now

Is the compensation capped ?

Or have I got stuff mixed up

Only about 2 to 3 weeks ago I think.

You right in all you say. Although I do think he will sign the contract eventually if not he has already. Warburton has said that talks with McParland have been going well and Brereton has a good family behind him. We will probably see it this week or next with Cohen/Vaughan officially. The agent of Mancienne leaked his early for some reason. It was meant to be held back till the end of the season.

My fear is his agency. Same agents as Burke and from what I've heard of them, they are real chancers and they have been all over academy in recent times. SimplySport. When Fawaz was basically saying keep options open his agency were using their links with Germany. Hence Cash also getting linked who is also with SimplySport.

He is prone to errors. There were quite a few for both 18s and 23s so will want to bounce back next season.

As I said in another thread just keep an eye out for Shelvey as a young GK.

Marques wasn't very good.

Believe so. Rob Worrall told can go as well despite contract still having another year.

From this batch I would personally hold off giving new deals bar Brereton. Even Lichaj and Fox who seems to be back in the mix. Ideally quite a few need to be part of the cull.

Shame, another one we have to push out.

We have 23 outfield players & 4 keepers, Warburton wants a squad of 21/22 & wants to bring in 4 or 5 new singings. that means we have to ship out 9 or ten players, won't be easy.
 
Could be a case of terminating a few contracts by mutual agreement, and if EM in charge then i'm sure he make them a offer they couldn't refuse.
