It was a terrific ball.2 for moylan, 2 for duffy - on the highlights.
great pass from our midfielder (8, oliver) to duffy for one of the goals.
A hero,Nothing about the result at all on our own website as far as I can see. Media team too busy no doubt reminding us it is Alan Power's birthday.
Moylan had four other shots just in that sequence alone; looks dangerous. Jovon really does need to work on those one-on-ones.
The fact Draper is ahead of him says more about Draper than Makama.Jovon quite simply isn’t good enough and it’s going to be tough for him to earn another deal.
Missed alot of chances in the games he played in the first team too.
Draper is the same age and miles ahead.
The fact Draper is ahead of him says more about Draper than Makama.
Just as a comparison Blackburn in the Championship have Jack Vale on a contract and he is 3 years older than Makama.
Yes, he can improve his finishing but he keeps giving himself chances to miss them because he is big, fast and has decent control.
...time is still very much on his side.
Maybe one thing nobody considers when talking of loans to Drogheda, is perhaps they don't want some that are offered.Jovan needs a loan at a decent club where he has chances to score goals and get some confidence.
Very surprised he wasn’t loaned to the Drogs. Would have been an ideal move for him.
Or they can only have two loans form England or only two from one club.Maybe one thing nobody considers when talking of loans to Drogheda, is perhaps they don't want some that are offered.
if we don't have that striker coach, walker and house could be helping with that knowledge. alternatively, someone i would be looking at getting in for consultations would be matt rhead. he had great technique. great at shielding the ball, at reading the flight of a ball for headers, laying the ball off... all things makama (and the other young strikers) would benefit from more insight into.I assume we have a striker coach who can advise on composure, timing of shots, dummying a finish to fool the keeper/defender, etc? That’s the sort of coaching he needs - would be a tremendous breakthrough if he could start hitting the beck of the net.
