Bolton

Another unlevel part of the playing field I like, is when a player gets sent off against your team, but is then possibly suspended against your rivals. There are myriad random chance factors each game. Virtually every game could be won, drawn or lost based on chances created and chances missed. Might be why it is so interesting.

Always thought that.
There is an experimental sin bin being finally brought in at non league levels below National League (not sure which leagues trialling it). But its only for offences against the ref such as dissent or leaving/entering field without permission.
And there is an ultra complex matrix of all sorts of combinations of sin bins & standard yellows and the resulting outcomes.

I'd go for a simple 10 mins off for a first yellow, 20 mins off for a second one, 30 mins off for a third.
When play stops, your minutes in sin bin pause too.
Minutes accumulate as well, every 90 minutes reached gives an additional one match ban.

One other idea for games suspended due to red cards, maybe player in question also misses one match when playing same opponents next time (if there is a next time).

And you have to applaud Accrington for the way they are run. Even being in the Football League is a fantastic achievement for a club of their size and support. To have taken the League Two title in 2018 was stunning.
Think they brought more fans last week than 13 or 14 of our L2 opponents last season.
They are making steady progress, I like how they are doing it

Credit where it’s due to those youth(?) players who got a draw today v Coventry .... but if BWFC are such a big club where were the home fans? ?

Who knows, they possibly decided to go watch one of the bigger clubs in the NW just when their local club needed their support the most. I mean what sort of loyal fan would do that eh Norfolk?

I can't understand the thoughts of Jack Hobbs. He signed for Bolton last summer, even though there were known money problems in the press. He then didn't get paid for the last 3 months of the season and even went on strike about it, meaning the club were unable to play the game against Brentford.
They've had 12 points deducted.
Yet he's signing for them again. Is he a dufus?
His other offer was aldi!

A strange interview from Parkinson, suggesting that Bolton's fixtures should be postponed until the take over is complete and they are in a position to sign players, a view shared by some Bolton fans too.

They should count themselves lucky they have been allowed to start the season and as yet still not been punished for defaulting on a fixture last season.

More to the point they should be under embargo till January so every team has a chance to play them once under their current circumstances.

Parkinson does have a valid point - U21 players cannot meet the physical demands of Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday football at League One level - but Bolton's predicament is entirely of their own making. How many points have they taken from past opponents due to the fact they had lots of players they could not actually afford? They cannot now complain because other clubs are taking points off them because they cannot afford any players at all.

Nope not at all.

Put whatever team you can out and suck it up.

If you can't put a team out then get kicked out of the league.
