Bolton Wanderers

Isnt their next game under threat of being behind closed doors as they aren’t paying for anything. Plus the players are on strike.

There is a danger that their next two home games could be played behind closed doors due to issues with their safety certificate.

Makes you wonder if Fawaz is helping out there in some capacity

Funny you should mention him. Rumour has it he wants back into English football

Last Sunday marks 2 weeks since the players at Bolton should have been paid. They have not been.

All Bolton players are now able to serve two weeks notice to leave.

Key buyer still hasn't bought the club and it's very dodgy if that is a goer. Another buyer came forward but is now buying another club.

Looks unlikely there is enough money for admin. Bolton could well go into liquidation now.

EFL desperate for them to see out the season. Notts may well survive in the league at the expense of Bolton.

This is as close to the end as I can remember a club getting

It is a mess. If all Bolton players now gave two weeks notice, any potential fee for the club as a whole would go through the floor.

Ken Anderson is everything that's wrong with football, he's 'technically' fit & proper, but 'actually' a completely self centered fucking dickhead.

Like most other people in football and most other people on the planet in all fairness.

I would guess most of Bolton's players won't give notice. They are worse than us, and how many Forest players could get the same money somewhere else, especially with the season finishing in three weeks. Do they have any decent saleable players?

Bolton will go into administration first, but surely that doesn't necessarily mean they will be kicked out the league?

Tomorrow they are in the high court with a winding up order against their hotel.

Their big date is May 8th, which is 3 days after we play them. There is every chance that Bolton fans will go Into that game believing it could be their last ever.

They seem likely to fulfil their fixtures unless a whole glut of players give notice. But as others have said, they are a relegation squad. Where are they going to go at this level? They will all wait until the summer and try to get in at as high a level as they can.

It is likely they will fulfill their fixtures. But as it is, Notts could go down in early May and then be reprieved a few days later

Apparently they won't go into admin. That costs money apparently and there isn't anyone to pay it

According to twitter, Bolton have until 11am tomorrow to pay money due to emergency services or their safety certificate will be revoked and their game on Friday with Villa is off.

This happened a couple of weeks ago and they were given an advance from somewhere. Not sure where the money comes from this time unless the EFL give the advance.

But this just increases the debt and makes the club less attractive...

All looking very grim for Bolton and a far cry from the time their chairman suggested the premier league should be a closed shop.

I've sent an email to one of the trotters forums, see if they have any kind of protest planned for the last game of the season that we could potentially join in with.

There but for the grace of god & all that...

No expert in this area, but other than a voluntary administration, do you have any choice in the matter? If you don't pay your debts someone normally puts you into administration. The alternative, liquidation, would obviously be even worse.

And seemingly out of nowhere, this Bassini bloke has suddenly come up with the funds and seems to have concluded a deal.

A lot or progress happened yesterday and Ken Anderson must have relaxed some demands

New owner has been bankrupt twice in the last 9 years, after one of which he changed his name

They will probably be relegated this weekend but that will seem like a good result after the last few weeks.

No easy way out for County

In other news...
