Bolton and Bury?

Laurence Bassini Blackpool Legend

It is with a combination of outrage and disgust that I have to inform Bolton Wanderers fans that the deal to sell the club to Football Ventures has been temporarily suspended in the last hour.
Late this afternoon, we were informed by lawyers acting for Laurence Bassini that he had been awarded a court order attempting to prevent the sale of Burnden Leisure Limited, part of an action against a company owned by Ken Anderson.

It beggars belief that Mr Bassini, a man who publicly professed to care passionately for the club, has now, through his actions, threatened its very existence.

Despite a long and hugely complex process of negotiation, we were finally on the brink of completion this afternoon when Bassini’s order was served.

Our lawyers are now in conversation with Counsel in a bid to overturn the order immediately.

Sad that you want to see Lancashire clubs fight for their existence.
Not that long ago that we had it ruff.

Bury given until next Friday or they will be expelled.
Got to appear in front of a disciplinary panel too (more - points) for not fulfilling fixtures.
Horwich deal still not finalised so there's hope yet that those ***** could still sink without trace.

Game postponed :wahey::wahey:

We live in hope.

“Bolton Wanderers have postponed this game without the agreement of Rovers or the EFL, and we were surprised to learn of the news via Bolton’s social media.

“We have a lot of sympathy for Bolton’s plight, but we’ve prepared for this game as normal and fully expected it to go ahead. We will work with the EFL to understand this situation and keep supporters as informed as we can when we are able to say more.”

There still hasn't been a decision about an additional points deduction for not fulfilling the last fixture last season. Are they just hoping that in a rearranged match they will have a stronger team and won't get tonked again? And when they play us will they have a stronger team than those they have played so far? So much for the integrity of thd FL competition :wagging:. And why the different treatment to Bury? Both should have never been allowed to start and if Bury are excluded, so should Bolton
