Bolton and Bury?

It gets better :grinning::grinning::grinning:

Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson and assistant Steve Parkin have resigned from their positions with the beleaguered League One club.

Wanderers, who said in a statement that "the matter is being considered", have been in administration since May.

Joke what is going on, the third tier of professional football has two teams that are not playing fixtures, what an utter shambles.

Sunday league isn't even this badly organised.

Lukester this is the EFL we are talking about they must be one of the most inept organisations ever, didn't do anything during our troubled times.

Today's 5-0 loss doesn't appear to have helped Bolton. The EFL have just issued a statement about the continued sale delays at Bolton and said that if there no resolution by the time that their board meets on Tuesday they will consider lifting the current suspension on giving notice of removal of their EFL membership. That suspension has been in place since May (4 months)

Lets suppose a new buyer in at horwich. players allowed to be signed, how does the EFL justify the results now to later in the season. heaven help them if the title , PO spots etc are decided on goal difference. there should be a statement now , if possible goals scored for and against need to be averaged somehow, im sure theres a computer somewhere that could resolve this potential bag of trouble. Of course theres a simple way, chuck the feckers out now.

100% agree Hasty. Bolton, fielding a team of kids, keeps getting beat 5-0. But if and when they stay in the division, get a few quid and some better players, then the teams that have played them now against their kids have an unfair advantage. The whole thing is a farce and the EFL needs some bottle and to expunge these results and relegate them both regardless of what happens.

Bolton's administrators have just issued a statement saying that if a deal is not done by tomorrow evening that they will start the process of liquidating the club the following day. That is because they don't have the funds to allow continued trading, even on the existing basis. Wages are due on Friday and they can't fund them or continue as a going concern.
Whilst the administrators point the finger at Ken Andersen on this occasion it is clear that the EFL are pi**ed off with the administrators for giving repeated contradictory statements and suggest that if they were aware of this at the time then Bolton wouldn't have been allowed to start the season. I cannot see that Bury was any different in that regard, but have been stopped from playing.

It certainly sounds like the administrators have made a mess of the process and the EFL have taken their word on progress, even though they have missed repeated deadlines and their explanations have changed

IF Bolton get kicked out of the EFL :banana: then all the teams that have played them thus far will have their points and goals removed. That will drop Ipswich back below us and see us top of the league once again :wahey:

Bury's takeover has fallen through because of extra costs identified during due diligence. They now look doomed to expulsion
