Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest Match Thread Sat 8th April 3pm

The vast majority won't have a clue what we are talking about SORT SET SHINE STANDARDISE SUSTAIN, I think Unai has got us well past the sort stage
Is that like SHIT, SHOWER, SHAVE in the morning? Or is it more like PERFECT PREPARATION PREVENTS PISS POOR PERFORMANCE? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Reading through the thread, there is a running theme that we could improve if certain players were replaced. Don't think it works quite like that. There's a definite team dynamic at the moment and we are getting the results on the back of that. Yes, of course evolve the playing side but we need to ensure that the player fits in with the squad and is a definite improvement over what we already have. We also have to accept that we won't be Barca overnight.

Teams will continue to set up to frustrate us, particularly at home, and many, many other teams in the PL are also tapping in to the same player pool that we are looking at. We have to accept the performances atm, hope we can continue to get positive results and rely on Emery's judgement over the summer transfer window.

We won't be throwing cash at players ALA Chelsea or Man Utd or going after "a name" and I think that philosophy has been shown to fail anyway. Let's all accept that Villa is a transitioning team and we don't want to do a West Ham - two good(ish) seasons and then flounder after spending some cash last summer.
