Aston Villa v Newcastle Utd Match Thread - Tues 30th Jan - 8.15

Unai should have seen it wasn't working within the first 10 minutes and changed it. He's as culpable as the donkeys out on the pitch tonight.

When Gordon is on the ball he looks threatening to do something positive whilst we have Diaby who looks like someone who doesn't want to be playing.

Getting bullied on the ball all over the pitch.

Watkins and Diaby contributing nothing and you have to ask why is Emery persisting in playing Diaby

It's been a downward spiral since Man City game in terms of performance. Which was always going to be the case. A lot of players are off form at the same time, have been for over a month now. No need to panic, We have shown our ability. Come on Villa.

Trusting Unai to get it right second half, we have to respond but what will Howe do. Do they sit back and hold on or keep playing? If I wear them I'd want to keep playing but one goal will flip the momentum in our favour and gaps should open.

Chess match second half (hopefully)

These cross field passes from left to right that pick out Burn every time are clearly not working. Stop fucking doing it time and time again.
