Aston Villa Poised to Add Steve Agnew to coaching staff': ex-Middlesbrough manager

Blimey..

Agnew has got a very good reputation as a coach .

Come on lads he hasn't even joined us yet , give him a chance first.

no-ones going to fall for this obvious subterfuge that it's actually
JF stood there 'coaching'

And what have hairy fellows done for us lately?

Two schools of thought on here:

- some people are never happy, will moan about anything, don’t worry it will all come good in the end.

OR

- fed up with the club I love having second class players, third class managers and fifth class coaching staff.

We’ll all have our own view about which camp we fall into.

What if you've never worked in professional football and have no idea what Agnew is like as a coach or a person so you just welcome him to the club and wish him well?

Dont know anything about this bloke.

However, at least someone has recognised there is something wrong on the coaching side.

Who knows if this guy is the answer. Lets pray he is

It’s official three first team coaches under Bruce
All chosen by Bruce

Do they specialise ?

Bruce’s Christmas present to the fans......I wish him well.

The misunderstood long ball Big Sam has just said he was brought up making the first pass a forward one to show intent, sideways stuff only helps the opposition prepare thier defence. Will be interesting what the school of science make of him.

More interesting , will we see a difference on the Villa Park pitch

Aston Villa yesterday appointed Steve Agnew as a first team coach at the club.

Bruce will hopefully explain how it will work.
When Little took over he took the forwards Evans the defence and Gregory the midfield.

When Bruce brought in clemence he said he wanted a younger coach to relate to players. I think Aggers is more Bruce’s age.

I’m sure The Fear will work it out for us

"Agnew arrives - but what will he bring?"

Steve Bruce Explains....

It's something I've been working quietly on over the last couple of months in particular where I knew Steve was a bit dormant, if that's the right word. I have always worked with three if I could. He's an excellent coach."

"Colin (Calderwood) is still my assistant but I've put Steve as the head of coaching. I've had a word with Colin and Stephen Clemence in particular and they're fine with that. They know he's part of the team going forward and he's here to help us. I had a great relationship with him at Hull so let's hope he can work a bit of magic on the training pitch."

"It's a different voice, it's different ideas, it's a different way forward. Already we've seen a difference in training.

There's nothing quite like freshening it up. He's incorporated Stephen, Colin and myself on the training ground.

To get somebody like him and with the beauty of having worked with him before, I'll know what he'll bring."
