I did not record last season and have not got the time to look back at it so here is a thread to keep track of how much of the incoming fees is spent on new replacement players.
I know there are fees / wages involved too but for simplicity it will be just for fees and estimated cost of a loan.

Out : Josh Murphy : £ 10 million.
In : Emi Buendia : £ 1.5 million.
Profit : £ 8.5 million.

All good news for the Smiths and little Nepotism Tom , but not good news for all fans who love Norwich City . Don’t anyone believe that £10m will be used to buy an £8.5m striker because it won’t . Always remember everyone that the Smiths hate the Prem . Josh and Madders are the guys who could have taken us there m and that must have been a worry to the Smiths

Soon the championship will be full of rich clubs and then Champagne and Claret Socialist Smiff will want to get down to league 1 asap.
All she has to do is look in diary and see how it was done in 2009.

Out : Josh Murphy : £ 10 million.
In : Emi Buendia : £ 1.5 million.
Out : Marley Watkins : £ 1.5 million.
Profit : £ 10 million.

That 1.5 million must have come out of the last season budget. This deal was agreed in January, no?

I'd say that it's 12.5 million profit. As I've seen the Murphy deal was 11 million.

Substainability definition.

the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level.
"the sustainability of economic growth"
avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance.
"the pursuit of global environmental sustainability"

I hate the word as it means trying to obtain planning approval for clients based on the theory if using a timber frame they can get approval well outside the development areas.

However ruling out the second definition, the Smiffs policy of making progress without new funding and hoping constantly selling players
will balance the books and keep us competitive is likely to achieve the first definition. ' the ability to be maintained at a certain level -- a very low one '

They will pocket most of it , never to be seen again. Just like the hundreds of millions (probably well over 400 million) they received from the 3 years in the Prem (+ another 100 or so million in parachute payments) since. Yet we are still having to sell a quarter of our squad to plug a hole. Crazy... If it really is true then how badly have we been run from the top town? They need replacing as the situation we are in now is not forgivable.

I have long gone past talking about our owners these days. I just focus on Webber and Farke and supporting the team. I remain somewhat optimistic (I don't think we're going up any time soon, but I do think we're making foundations for the few years to come with a younger squad). Still trust in DF.

I say it a lot but how can teams like Bristol or bloody Barnsley get investors buying then. Even wolves and bloody Birmingham. I think a lot of league 1 and 2 side are richer than us. I don't buy into the crap that butler says about us being isolated as a reason for no interest. It's down to Delia...she wants it to be a family thing and basically handing it to her newphew who isn't rich and from what I know isn't a businessman is just craziness. We will be owned by a chap who probably has about as much as I do to invest. I just hope the plan is for him to sell and roll around in the money once Delia and her husband move on. She isn't going to sell.

Sell Sell Sell.

20 + million. I wonder if we will get the amazing Reed back in this deal.

Saints were in L1 with us look how they have done. I would have thought Maddison would have a better club than relegation fighters Southampton

Does this mean the black hole is filled or will we be given more crap about how there is another black hole?

Coventry would get 15% of any sale, isn't too much I suppose. If we sold for 20 mill or 25 mill, they'd be getting 300k to 375k - I thought they'd be taking a bigger chunk than that. If he is off to Leicester then we won't be getting anyone in return. I'd hoped it would be Reed coming the other way as well as 25 million if it were Southampton.

This "hole" should now be filled by the sale, between Josh and Watkins thats another 11.3 mill or so, surely at least 5-6 million of that can be used for the squad? I reckon we'll go for another loan or two so will probably need 3 other players with the 6 million.

The hole was £20 million and that should be filled by the Maddison sale with an extra £2 million (and apparently an extra 2 million arriving in other ways) going into the 11 million and 1.5 million from Murphy and Watkins giving us around 15.5 million to spend or is that just me adding up figures and in fact it isn't that simple? If it is then 15.5 million will bring in the players we need. Go offer 6 million for Marriott.

I expect there will be a couple of 2 million signings and then a few loans.

I see today that the Forest fans have said they don't want Oli as he is absolute rubbish sorry garbage. One fan suggests that 5 million is a waste. So is it 5 million they are offering?
