    Summer Transfer Window 2024

Pre season and hopefully ready to fire - Kamara is the one to be concerned about as he will miss all preseason and is not back until September apparently. Will be a bit part player next season sadly due to his nasty injury.

    Summer Transfer Window 2024

I could see villa renegotiating his contract and offering say a two year deal on less money? That way you keep a player that’s been decent and at the very least reliable. Wages can go elsewhere then and allow hopefully two big money signings if that’s what required - younger signings like Rogers...

Watching Nunez and Salah - all day long I’d have Watkins and Bailey - also cost under half of the Liverpool pair and both decent ages. Superb business

Aston Villa v Chelsea, Sat 27 April, 8pm

WCD in Bailey drops to the bench - especially with Bailey having that knee strapping on last Sunday. Chance to keep an unchanged defence, and Bailey off the bench - both decent for us IMO

    The Unai Emery Thread

I have to say it was a great atmosphere yesterday - with all the razzmatazz for KO and the grand entrance. Sun shining and some superb attacking football with the added spice of going a goal behind - superb day/visit and for the princely sum of £45 :utv:

Agree totally - on the other hand the female commentator for the Lille games was decent I thought. For both the games I thought she was good.

Yep but Emery also has the ability to attract players like Torres, we were truly in business when he joined. Maybe the finances won’t stretch to another big signing but if it does then again it’s going to be another stellar signing. We also have Monchi in the background with all his contacts etc

They can play a big part of a squad - keep improving the squad - injuries this season and the grind of many games has shown we need a squad

Forgive Danny Murphy? Not a chance the bloke is an imbecile - Rogers stood out yesterday against a very organised/tenacious midfield. Emery has taken many of these players to the next level - I suspect Rogers has got a couple more levels to go still - for an initial £8m and starting lower wage...

    The Emi Martinez Thread

Onana two yellow cards(one in the penalty shoot out) allowed to play in the fa cup final. Martinez the same but uefa choose to include his yellow card in the first leg and give him a ban. Making up the rules as they go then - showing undoubted bias to other players/clubs.

Danny Murphy giving all the credit to Man City for any of the youngsters they have sold or let go like Rogers - surely WBA, Boro and Emery should get mentioned and given all the credit
