Millers injury news 2023/24

Wouldn't be a popular choice though - he was a pretty awful player for us... although, absolutely predictably, scored against us shortly after leaving the Millers.

Paul Davis (Advertiser) Twitter - Morrison may be fit enough to play in our next game. Peltier and Ferguson are out injured. Blackett is now back in training, but not yet ready for selection.

Paul Davis (Advertiser ) Twitter - Update on Ferguson injury. He needs to see a specialist . No date has been set for his return.

My comment - it sounds like his time with the Millers is over. See also previous comment from Lindum. Ferguson has been a good player. If we had signed him about five years ago, when he was still reasonably fit, it would have made sense , but knowing that he was injured, RUFC then extended his contract. Got to question the medical advice that RUFC is getting, on too many players.

Previous statements from Paul Davis indicated that Bola isn't coming back either.

Paul Davis (Advertiser) Twitter - Interview with Leam Richardson... Tiehi has a pelvic problem, Hugill has a knee injury. They are undergoing further tests. These issues have been ongoing, to some extent, from Matt Taylor's tenure. Blackett (hamstring), Ferguson (groin) and Bramall (ankle), will all be working to improve their fitness during the international break.

Update (25/03/24) - Teihi is out for the rest of the season, due to a pelvic injury.

BBC Radio Sheffield - following further injury assessment, Tiehi may be able to make a return before the end of the season. Also problems continue at Roundwood training ground.

Paul Davis (Advertiser) Twitter - Blackett may be back in the squad for the next Millers game.

Paul Davis (Advertiser) Twitter - Hugill has a knee injury and is unlikely to play over Easter.
My comment - maybe Ayres (or Hatton) will get a chance to at least be in the match squad?
(RUFC Official Twitter - both have been training with the first team today).

Paul Davis (Advertiser) Twitter - new hamstring injury for Blackett. Morrison and Kioso are also still injured. No date is being put on when they are likely to return.

My comment - Will any of them be offered new contracts?

PK is only 24 and has played most of the season and (not sure) I think his contract runs to 2025? Tyler looked good with Cam early on but another new injury may swing against him staying. Morrison might be worth a short-term punt. In both cases I suppose it depends on our medical advice. :wack::help:
