    Football and Covid

Yep, got mine (well, on the app) when we went to France in June. The thing is, anything can be forged onto paper. I thought the idea was that you could show the vaccine record (including QR code) as being legit as it was your personal details shown directly on the app.

Yeah I wrongly inferred that it was summat else. As I said above, I'm still surprised, as there'll be fakes being done all over the shop.

For the "older" fans ..... ie all of you !

This mon isn't that old, but it's the next in the "long read" series ......... and a cracker it is too. https://wiganathletic.com/news/2021/july/The-Long-Read-Mike-Pollitt/

Just had a look. I think they're sending out PDF versions for folk who haven't downloaded the app. I'm surprised though, as I'm sure they mentioned they were concerned about possible fakes being churned out, which is why they wanted folk to use the app instead.

    Stadium is looking shabby

It took plenty of practice ... and commitment.

Mooted, not muted (which ironically, is the opposite !) ......... sorry by the way. Agreed. I reckon someone's getting a little nervous, and maybe wishes they could reverse their irreversible decision.

    Brexit's a memory/nightmare, but look what we've won/lost !

We were in a Customs Union .......a single market. This brought benefits. We're now no longer in that Customs Union ....... we're outside that single market. We no longer receive those benefits. The trading regulations facing us were well known. Why on earth didn't this bloke make sure his...

A paper one Bicky? Not sure if that's legit. As far as I'm aware, the only "official" one offered is the one through the NHS app (not the track and trace one).

    Pre Season Friendlies 2021

Not sure if it's true, but I've heard it's an initiative suggested by the SC, to help keep the fans in the dark. :whist: On a more serious note, I suppose it's cos they're not strictly "1st XI" fixtures (with the younger lads and trialists included), but they are all listed in the "News " section.

That wasn't censorship. You made two separate points in the one sentence, and I simply referenced the one to which I was replying. I didn't think it worth the effort to respond to the other point ... similarly with the "apologist" remark.

You're perfectly entitled to your perception, but given that's all it was, (a perception), maybe don't try and have a (misguided) pop at other posters. (y) By the way, can I presume that you're happy about the SC reflecting the views of the fans to the club management team?

Again, you really ought to read posts more thoroughly NZFC. I merely said the SC were involved. (No assumption). Of course there's been been lots of stuff on twitter, and FB ...... it's a sensible thing to do, and well done to the club for doing it. The SC did as one would expect ...

Is it just me who's quite happy that the new owners don't want to take the SC funds, and instead, are (or at least, seem to be) quite happy to fund everything that needs to be done ... they seem to be making a decent job of it so far. As for the SC, I suppose that if they've had no other grief...
