BOLA (Burton A., L1) played whole game, L1-3

LoI Prem. (k.o.1945)
St. Patrick's A. v Dundalk
McGUCKIN subbed 70 mins, not booked
HT : 1-0
FT : 1-0

Dundalk had just one shot on target. Sounds familiar...
Here's a typical fan comment, Mike; Horrendous stuff, no shape, no intent, no nothing with this team. St Pats not much better, We are the UCD this year. Unless something gives we are heading straight down to first division. We are clueless.
The only mention I found of CM was that at least he put himself about a bit.

Maybe he should be 'putting himself about a bit' with us. He couldn't do any worse than what we've got.

LoI Prem. (k.o.1945)
Dundalk v Waterford
McGUCKIN subbed 67 min, not booked
FT : 0-0

Sounded like McGuckin played quite well as wide attacker in a front-three. Reasonable game for a 0-0 draw.

LoI Prem. (k.o.1945)
Dundalk v Waterford
McGUCKIN
Dundalk owner has this week announced new investment in the club from two Americans with links to the area.
We are delighted to announce that the club has secured new investment from Dublin-born, American-based businessmen Chris Clinton and John Keenan.
Chris and John have expertise in data, IT and finance and will work alongside Dundalk FC owner Brian Ainscough to help drive the club’s growth and development in the years ahead.

Clinton, a native of North County Dublin, emigrated to the USA in the mid-eighties after spending time at Dundalk Regional Technical College.

It can be done - though perhaps not if you insist on keeping total control - and there have been unsubstantiated rumours of past American investor interest in RUFC including the consortium that subsequently moved to take over Huddersfield.

I was under the impression - not that I'm sure where I got this impression from - that when our Chairman went AWOL instead of interviewing prospective new managers, he was looking for investments for the clubs or at the very least sponsor deals from the rich in Saudi I understood. I was obviously wrong as this never materialised.

Never heard that, Caz. Intriguing stuff. TS must have struggled in Saudi!

Whitby had four ex-Millers in their squad , including Jacob Gratton, and steamrollered Matlock right from the kick-off. Durose tried hard to get Matlock back into the game, but with little luck.
