Around the Grounds

From comments on the Rovers' forums, Fleetwood are direct and whack it into the box towards Stockley at every opportunity. Sounds like Burton all over again.

I watched Fleetwood last night Bristol was poor. I know football players are fit strong young men but it was bad conditions they would be tired its a long journey down there then another trip to Sincil bank so about over 500 miles We should be fresh and rested if we play the way he have done the last 3 games we should win the game comfortably lol

Except Burton couldnt score, whereas Fleetwood seem to have a couple of forwards, Stockley and the new Irish lad, who are in good form in front of goal. Anybody expecting an easy ride could be in for a shock.

Totally agree. Beware Stockley from corners and free kicks.

We need to gaffer tape his elbows to his body and we will be fine

Peterbugger again:

Its time Betting sponsorship in football was banned ,its just so hypercritical to promote it with one hand and slap wrists with the other. And why do so many football related people get involved in betting when they know the consequences.

The foot of League Two is looking increasingly exciting:

21. Grimsby P30 Pts29
22. Colchester P31 Pts 29
------------------------------
23. Sutton P31 Pts22
24. Village Green P30 Pts20

The National League just doesn't look right without Grimsby in it.

Those 2 proper non-league clubs have a bit of a gap to close though.

Looking forward to the ceremonial erasing of all VGR's stars!!

If they go down they will be worse because they will through money at it. The problem when they get to football league level their money isn’t as loud

Ten points from eleven games for Artell so far, conceding an astonishing 19 goals in his six home games alone.

Colchester and Donny for Grimsby this week.

Tuesday's opponents Charlton now have no wins in thirteen games, just five draws, and marquee signing Alfie May has scored just twice in that time.

They were terrible at Reading today by all accounts. What happens next? Answers on a postcard.
