After reading Martin Samuel’s article in today’s Sunday Times I’m even more convinced that PSR will be a factor in preventing Villa from doing much, if any, business in this window. Samuel has been consistent in his opposition to PSR. Here’s a quote.
”The argument that financial controls are what makes English football competitive- foundered in a week when this season’s success story, Aston Villa, and the bright sparks of last season , Newcastle United, both admitted, through Villa head coach, Unai Emery, and the Newcastle chief executive, Darren Eales, that they would have to sell good players to comply with PSR rules.”
His argument is that the rules haven’t been fit for purpose and are due to be changed to a system like the UEFA one where emphasis is on wages to turnover. Apparently this changeover will take place this August.
In other words we are hampered by a set of rules that have eight months left.
I see Kesler-Hayden has been recalled from his loan spell at Plymouth. As he's been a bit of a regular there this could mean one of two things-
1 he's been brought back to sell, similar to Azaz,or
2 he's been brought back to provide cover and competition for Cash
Says he could be coming in June and not now
Not heard of him or them but I'm sure it'd be a great double word score in scrabble
That's very interesting I did not know that was happening. I thought you had to comply with the UEFA rules as well if competing in Europe. After reading Martin Samuel’s article in today’s Sunday Times I’m even more convinced that PSR will be a factor in preventing Villa from doing much, if any, business in this window. We need him now but most likely part of the contractual agreement in order to secure the deal?

Possible new RB? Comments underneath from Serbs claim this account isn't reliable so probably nonsense.
Know nothing of the player but a couple of Red Star fans in the replies say he's a beast physically but this move would be too soon for him.
Romano has now tweeted that this deal is in the final stages.
