It's 2 seasons too early to go in for a player like him. This is Spurs we're talking about, not a proactive club in the transfer market.
We b already in.

Levy will probably find it difficult to shift most of our players if they ask unrealistic prices for them, again.
All those players that would not even get into another top six team, really need to be sold for whatever we can get. If we ask top dollar for Sissoko, Davies, Lamela, Dier, Sanchez, Aurier, Winks etc, then they will all be here for the season. Those outs are just as important as who we buy.
Levy consistently costs us a decent sale price with his stubborn reluctance to budge, most recently with Rose and Eriksson.
Get them all out for whatever we can get, none would walk into another top team.

You are correct. Levy didn't have a clear strategy and policy around players contract lengths, age and player exits. That was really poor financial management. He watched a half billion squad dissipate into minimal sales valuations and even free transfers. Apparently, he was only trying to do right by his managers and therefore can't be to blame. More proof why we needed someone new to run football operations.
This is also why we should sell Harry Kane now. Both the Harry's would generate pure profit as they were from our academy. That means we can hide some losses and be more realistic with other player sales.
In some ways that means that if we're willing to take the big decision on Ndombele, this summer would be the right one to take the loss and offset it against the Kane transfer.
We do need to get going with the churn though. One week to pre-season.
Just so you know, the market is stone dead at the moment; an agents view is that there will be few europe based big deals to drive deals lower down. All eyes are on the PL's money - and there isn't too much of that around.
Most buys/sales will all be late in the window.
The norm is that we all wait for the big moves and we're slightly down the foot chain. Well this summer, we are involved in the big move i.e. Kane. Let's hope that can help us get there quicker.
ManC will not make a single move (despite the media BS) until teh euro's are over, or we are chucked out/beaten. But even then, none of their exec's will be returning from their hols until around July 6th. I bet we see hear/nothing from them until last the week commencing 19th July.
The most important thing is to get the manager in. Including younger players, we have over 20 players that he can work with through July as we had such a low representation at the international comps.
If he can start getting that group organised into his philosophy during July, it will be easier for the newbies and returnees to slot in.
You could even see a mini evolution of the football philosophy just in Mason's few weeks in charge.
Usual Blah, Blah! How it came to this is unbelievable!Mason is taking pre-season from today, but mainly it is the sports science dept and the fitness coaches doing almost all the work and it will remain that way pretty much for the next 2-3 weeks.
I still fully expect that Paratici can show his work by then.

Lots of rumours about Grealish to City being close and that Villa are going for Smith Rowe and Abraham which at a guess is a sign of spending Grealish money (all after already getting Beundia).
Perhaps this will be the transfer to kick it all off? Grealish to City, Abraham to Villa, Kane to Chelsea...
