Match Thread: Boro Vs Forest, Sponsored by Silva's Appendix

After a bright start by Forest we completely fell apart in that first half. Our passing was just awful - we just kept giving the ball away. In the second half, we gradually got back into it and looked dangerous in the last 20 minutes, thanks to good cameos by Carvalho and Bostock. Diakhaby? Do me a favour.

A deft touch by Grabbs for the equaliser. Great goal.

Carvalho is class, he has to play if we want promotion.

Please take note Lamouchi as your starting team was wrong again.

If you have a bad game, make sure you don't lose..
That was poor tonight. First half awful. I agree with a previous poster that Brice could have done better with the second.

Carvalho and bostock really did earn us a point tonight.. bostock a real presence alongside Watson breaking up play, winning headers, passing to another forest player and carvalho looking like he could make something happen everytime he got the ball (also took several good set pieces)

Can't believe sky didn't talk about the penalty that was never given.. figs gets a decent header on target and howson throws his arm out and deflects it over for a corner..

Thank god for grabbs

Can't see semedo starting Friday so unless sow is ok has to give bostock a chance, he's a far more solid player who can pass and tackle. Yates was better than semedo but we need carvs passing, he showed what he brings tonight and it may slow lolley to get a bit more freedom.

Team for Millwall assuming same players are fit

Samba
Cash Worrall Figueiredo Ribeiro

Watson Bostock

Lolley Carvalho Ameobi

Grabban

theres is NO excuse for Lamouchi playing anything other than that team unless Sow is fit.
I'd have Mighten on the bench over diakhabi as well, he's had a fair crack and he's clearly shite Mighten has shown far more promise. He won't play carvhallo from the start against Millwall he will play Yates, watson and maybe bostock but wouldn't be surprised to see semedo again. Can he change tact and be more positive, can't argue with him over the season it's worked well for us but some games weve needed to be more positive and creative.

if watson and a'nother played on the half way line then fair enough but they generally aint capable, we saw how Watsons outta gas if he has to cover 30 yards.

Id still swap him for sow or yates just to impose ourselves in games rather than keep protecting the back 5 who we insist are good. Lets start trusting them.

Was a typical display 2nite, average at best but dont lose many individual battles. Carvs clearly different class to the likes of silva, semedo n diakhaby,

overall, too late to really change things

Diakhaby=Dias

Dias was a poor player, but you could see that he was at least a footballer and could do well possibly in a less physical league?

What the fuck does Diakhaby have? Fuck all expect being able to run fast.

Yes Dias was poor, but Diakhaby is not even fit to pick the peanuts out of Dias's shit.

He's a waste of a place even in the U23s and he needs fucking off with the recruitment team.

To have any realistic shout at autos we needed to win that game. Now it's a case of looking back over our shoulders yo keep a Playoff place and I've historically never felt we were very good at being in that position.

Watson has consistently been our best player this season.

Most clubs in most most divisions are looking over their shoulders, bar Liverpool. We are well placed for the top six, nothing to fret about. And our record this season against teams around us thus far has been decent, so right now we have nothing to be overly concerned about in the playoff picture.

We’re in a “patch” like every team at the top end of the table has had at various points of the season.

Still all to play for, and now is not the time for fretting. I’m cautiously optimistic, and from where we’ve been at for the past umpteen seasons, we have a multitude of reasons to be cheerful.

In the cold light of day we did well to escape with a point thanks to a Grabban googly that gripped on the wicket and beat the defenders on the outside edge, you can't seriously tell me he meant it and as SL said 4 points from 2 away games, Cardiff and last night isn't too shabby. Surely surely he must have learned from last night that Bostock & Carvalho have got something to offer, and both should be given a start on Friday. It was actually to see the way Bostock managed to get the ball under control and then find a team mate, never looked flustered or hurried brought a similar degree of calm to the midfield that Samba usually brings to his penalty area
