Transfer Rumours

Ok, you are the man the club have employed to handle this transfer? Cowley is about to hand over a cheque for £3 million to you? want another go?
He can fuck off, and you can follow him with your sarcastic and condescending post

It may have escaped your attention, but we are a bit light in the striker department.

If a club that have been in the PL a damned sight more recently than we have wanted to spend £3m on Tyler, then perhaps the more discerning members of the forum might ask questions as to whether we were better placed keeping him.

See, I can do condescending too

You are very touchy at times Pope. All I was doing was developing the debate on this subject, if I came across as sarcastic or condescending I duly apologise. So anyway what would your conversation be like going forward with Mr Cowley?

Well, in this mythical world I which I pick up the phone to the guy, it could go one of two ways.

1) I am very sorry Mr Cowley, but, as you demonstrated yourself through the medium of your very generous bid, young master Walker is a player of tremendous potential; in light of our numerical deficiencies in his specialist area of the team, we are not at liberty to consider the permanent transfer of his registration at this time. Should this situation change, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

2) Fuck off and stay fucked off you cheating longball twat

Which one conveys the general message better do you think?

I would lean towards option 1, however if we were say in serious discussions with a league 1 club regarding their 23 year old 13 goals this season striker what would the reactions be on this forum?

I've been saying that for about 12 months now.

Tyler belongs with us

To be honest I would love him to be good enough for us, but thats where the doubts start, is he good enough now to get us up this season? if not a correctly structured deal or even a loan might suit everybody. Huddersfield are no threat to us and we were happy after all to let him go to a Cowley team previously.

I reckon Tyler has benefited from playing on loan and gaining experience. I also reckon he's a better player too due to playing against big tough brutal centre-halves in the lower leagues. He'll be stronger physically for it and he also has a good burst of pace. I'd like him back at Forest now.

A young player of his qualify and pedigree would cost us more than £3m and more than Huddersfield are willing to pay.

We don't need to pay; we have one.

Every player has his price and if an offer comes that is too good to refuse, so be it.

That level of offer won't be coming from Huddersfield judging by their recent transfer business

It would be nice to see a post from someone who has seen him play this season? Then again I would hope the club have been keeping an eye on him.

Perhaps looking for a loan then?

I cannot comment much on Walker as I haven't seen him play on a regular basis for the past years, I trust our scouts nd I m sure that if they see progress from Tyler, a chance he will be given at Forest.
If he remains on loan or even sold, then we should criticize the club much as I m sure that bringing him back here would damage his development.

At £3m I would say we would be better served keeping him and seeing what he is capable of. At £5m plus though I would expect a totally different conversation.

Tyler is 23 and has a good but not spectacular record in the lower leagues so while I would prefer to keep him and at least give him a shot there has to be a point where we are better off letting him go.

Leave walker at Lincoln to see the season out. I don't see him being of much benefit to us right now provided we bring in decent players. It's a big setup from league 1.

Depends if we can get a decent striker or 2 in, or we need him back can't be relying on grabban for the entire season he will get a strain or 2. If we get a couple in see how many he can score at Lincoln, then next season give him a shot.
