Yossers gone.

That’s very sad news. Superb part he played.

Can’t have been very old either?

RIP Yosser.

Edit - just seen he was 79. Not old enough, but a decent knock and not too young.

Well, Boys from the Blackstuff is from the 1980s and Michael Angelis (who I will always remember for his great turn as Lucien with his rabbits in the Liver Birds), who was also in it, would have been 80 this year but died in 2020.

The writer Alan Bleasdale is still with us at age 78.

RIP Yosser.

Recently re-watched Boys from the black stuff. What a desperate and sad story that was and accurately reflected deprived inner city Britain at the time.

I didn't realise he was in LOTR and Titanic as well.

RIP Yosser.

Always thought he was a scouser but from Manchester apprently, probably got that idea as he often played the part of characters from Liverpool ie. Yosser and Shirley Valentine's husband & even a small part in a drama i watched last night on BBC 1 based in Liverpool (The Responder). A very good actor IMO, RIP

But Tossers remain.

RIP Bernard. Great actor. Sad watching him in the Responder last night.
