Good to see the booking system is working well on its first day.

I know targets and such were set very hign at the time, as it looked like it was going to run away . But I do wonder, as the cases thankfully keep declining, just how many people we are going to have to test, especially if these tracking applications are any good. Maybe 20,000 tests a day will be too many, who knows. Its the same situation as with ICU beds and ventilators. We had to commit to have them, but a lot of them wont be used.

If you are concerned, then a test will give confidence, and that’s not a bad thing. There has been so much emphasis on number of deaths I wonder if we’ve forgotten that most people recover.

Am I wrong the test will say yes you have or no you haven't got it today
but it won't tell you about tomorrow or next week?

All it can tell you about is today. What it does do is that if you think you might have it and the test says 'no' then you don't need to go off into isolate, and neither do your family. You can carry on your work, if you are allowed to.
