Just had the VHS tape of the game converted onto DvD.
Biased commentor, dreadful camera positions and unable to pick myself out in crowd....

I was up in London in the late sixties heading to a game at Peterborough I think when I was confronted by a large crowd of Newcastle fans heading straight at me. They demanded to know which club my blue and white scarf represented and turned immediately more friendly on being told Gillingham. I chatted with some of them for a few minutes and was given a loud send of with chants of Gillingham! They'll do for me.

I remember people standing by the road clapping our coaches after the game and also some people hanging out of windows clapping and cheering as we made our way home.
A very special day.
My daughter has been at Newcastle Uni for the past 4 years and she has had a few of the older Toon fans speak to her fondly about that game (she wears her Gills shirts quite often up there).
Lovely people up there in the main.
