I know exactly who and what this is. It is Sergei Plumkov, then boss of Siberian seventh-tier side Izblummincoldere United on his side finishing 12th in their first ever season at that level, in 1983. It really was a marvellous achievement for a group of young players paid only in Alaskan goat droppings although they missed out on a huge bonus finishing two places outside their chairman’s aim of a top 10 finish. If I recall correctly, they lost 1-0 in their final match away at Evwennyope and they would have gone ninth with a win. Cost them a bag of grated llama skin each. Plumkov resigned a week later though, leaving the game to become a fish impersonator.
