To be fair it's not just 'long ball long ball' there - there's an acknowledgement we have some good players and can play a bit too.

Here`s hoping Exeter have a long and tiresome journey up from the south west which could include bottlenecks at m5 Bristol, the m42 brum and futher delays on m69 and m1 before finding the a46 closed due to an incident and finally a requirement to travel minor roads across country to Lincoln, arriving at the Bank at 5 minutes before kick off.
(Done this myself so many times and delays are common.)

ps
Coping with a broken down coach toilet and no heating on the bus sometimes makes travelling even tougher.

They were booked into the Bentley Monday night...

Yes it is handy for them as they will be doing match preparation at Hykeham Bowls club a bit further up Newark Road today. They have specifically picked this venue so they can further hone their superb Brazil like passing qualities on a bowling green surface while carrying out flowing passing moves in confined spaces to further enhance their growing reputation as the saviours of the beautiful game in League 2.

Afterwards they will be going to a specially organised screening of Godzilla at The Odeon in preparation for facing the monsters that are Lincoln City apparently!

Breathtaking how out of date some of this rubbish is.

Apparently we are physical, but the fact that we have a team full of smaller skilful players and the fifth lowest yellow card count in the division seems to have passed them by. Exeter have more yellow cards, by the way.

'A heavy barrage of long balls' is an interesting one. It will be amusing if Exeter base their game plan on that.

"We have nothing to lose on Tuesday night," is the best one from Mr Taylor. You can lose the match and lose ground on those above you, you twit.

Psychological bullshit to try and wind up our players to go out and kick this bunch higher up into row Z!. If they beat us they 'overcame the thuggish leaders with artistic grace'. If we stuff them they will cry 'the big boys wouldn't let us play with the ball!'.

Sounds like some the crap Carlton Palmer came out with before we beat Mansfield 4-2 in 2006, said we were direct and set up to deal with it, Freck, Forrester and co ran rings round 'em!

Although they do have Bossie as a creative midfielder who will need to be tracked :grinning:

When we all know that should be 'Monster midfielder who will need to tracked down in the woods, trapped and put on display in the zoo'.

Or am I taking this monster thing a bit too far?
