Ideal for both parties I think - only a short term thing at the minute.
Seem to recall Gary saying the other year that at some point he'd have to make a decision on whether to stay in punditry or go into coaching full time/managing.
He's very good on Monday Night Football with Carragher and his columns in the Telegraph (Mail last season) are also very good reads.

I didn't realise that a rich Singaporean owns both Valencia and Salford and that Phil Neville is also at Valencia.
