The word ‘legend’ gets bandied around far too easily these days, but Rheady is most definitely one of them .... a very enjoyable watch, you’d be daft to overlook this.

Yes, Parkin comes over as a dick. I found it an interesting insight to the workings of the club when the Cowleys were at the helm.

I remember the John Parkin at Macclesfield who single handedly terrorised entire back fours with his pace, power and ability. I remember the John Parkin who then got his 'big' move to Hull City and piled on about three stones in a year before completely wasted his considerable talent. Listening to the nature of his comments on the podcast does not surprise me one little bit and only underlined the gulf in class between him and another certain large centre forward.

This is a great podcast and I personally think Parkin is good to listen to. I don’t think they’d get the players to talk so openly if he wasn’t there.
