Two cracking signings.....

Having thought further on the signings......
Up top, Lampard has a lot of work to do now. The 2 newbies wont have been sent here to fester on the bench. Bennett and Thomas excelled at Notts last Saturday. Lawrence had a good un. Vydra still has to get fit. Martin too. Then we also have Jerome, Nugent and Blackman.
TEN forwards. Two of whom don't seem to fit the mobile formation it would appear Lampard wants to play so that should see Martin and Blackman gone. There is a tendency at some top clubs not to have a 6 foot odd centre forward but keep the ball on the ground for nippy, proper footballers. That could see Jerome and Nugent go too.
That wouldn't cause a problem either as we also have smaller nippy types in the U23 like Vernam and Zanzala who are capable of stepping up to the plate if needed.
Are we going to be playing with the ball mainly on the deck?

Don't know anything about them, but it gives an indication of how Lampard / signings are going to work. Change is good, lets see who goes out!

Will anybody go out? Lamps has indicated in interviews that he is looking to use different formations. Will this include horses for courses in, for instance, midfield where we might see Johnson, Hudds and GT in against the likes of L**ds and Millwall and Bird, Elsing and Bryson against the likes of Bristol City.
The 2 examples given are merely that, examples to make a point, not recommendations.
I also think we may see a lot of squad rotation as well based on things Lamps has said.
No standard formation, no standard first XI, but the best system and players taking into account how we want to play as well as how the oppo plays.
I can't remember being so anxious for it to start for real for a while.
