So I see Johnson has to self-isolate for 14 days, having apparently come into contact with an MP who has tested positive for Covid. He will now "abide by the rules" and will most certainly not take a trip to Durham to test his eyesight.

No, were I a cynical man, I would mention how conveniently timed this is, having sacked Cummings and the other guy last week, with the government in chaos and this providing an ideal opportunity to avoid the media for a while.

But as I'm not that cynical, I won't mention it.

Hope you're ok prime minister, bursting with antibodies as you are.

People should be in uproar about this public money laundering, always in times of desperation do these things create ways to siphon money out. Hope these things come back to bite the chief decision makers in the future

Isn't it amazing how the Tories have cultivated this image of being fiscally responsible and a safe pair of hands?

Goes on in America too, the Shock Doctrine - what happens in the US soon catches in over here.

I’m personally open minded about the NHS, as great a principle as it is, I think naturally over time it’ll need to evolve (though I’m not saying it goes private), perhaps some parts which reduce its baggy-ness are necessary. But all the big deals going to people with 2 or 3 degrees separation from cabinet is just a fraud.

I really hope Labour don't now go to war with themselves, they need to be going to war against the Tories.

Corbyn is a blight on the party, always has been, he is better as a radical mixing with his dodgy 'friends' on rostroms, shouting his crap and hating on who he hates, whilst backing terrorists. He has set the party back massively allowing momentum to re-infiltrate, after so much work by Kinnock and John Smith to modernise the party and rid themselves of these people.

I've said before, if you don't like the party you are in, go form your own party, or join one of the far-left parties.

His stubborn and ignorant stance on anti-Semitism has caused so many issues, where any decent person would have been able to categorically denounce anti-Semitism and rid a party of any anti-Semites.

I mean, really, in this day and age?

Vile man, with vile intentions, who handed us a Tory party with a big majority - as I warned a few good friends who were so supportive of him would be the case. I even said if you like him or not is not relevant, it is if the electorate will like him and vote for him. They won't.

They didn't.

It was so obvious to me.

Quite how the youngsters latched on to this dangerous protagonist, a crusty old man with a vile past, is beyond me. How was that 'new' and the 'way forward' ?

Well, because of him, we have a Tory party - albeit one who will rip themselves apart with internal battles, they always do - with the majority to do as the please.

Yes, agreed, but this is where I worry the party might now rip itself apart a bit. Maybe it will lead to the infiltrators seeing they have lost and they will get lost. Abbot I am sure will espouse her junk about it, but they had their chance, they were sure they were the answer, where most could see they were a danger, or at times, just a joke.

It’s quite funny when Boris comes back at Ian Blackford SNP with “I wish they would concentrate on education, health and crime...”

Now I haven’t fact checked but Scotland has done a lot in the past decade on those issues albeit starting from a poor place.

If I was Scottish, I’d vote for independence tomorrow

Johnson is a total disgrace with his stupid name calling 'Captain Hindsight' aimed at the leader - THE LEADER FOR GOODNESS SAKE - of the opposition.

With bullying such a big problem in schools, and at work, his antics do not do a single thing to help.

Crime.
We have a police force that doesnt investigate burglaries, that doesnt investigate car crime, that joins in with BLM protesters, that dances with Extiction Rebellion protesters.
We have a police force that sits looking at computor screens all day in case some one offends someone else by calling them a name that is deemed to be a derogatory term, and if that is the case then all hell breaks loose.
Waste of time police force that is marshalled by an even bigger waste of time senior police chiefs.

I hope that Starmer gives the likes of Abbot and McDonnell a maximum one strike policy or you’re out. One bad move, and you’re gone.

I would actually get rid of all of them, they’d be able to fill the seats with other candidates and I doubt they are in hotly contested seats that Starmer couldn’t win. You wouldn’t lose enough votes from socialists to be worried about, the gain from being centre again outweighs all that.

Yup, they can get their knickers in a twist as much as they want, the centre ground is where Labour won their three elections in a row, that is where they would win again, not the far left nuttery of the Corbyns of the world. If the pratt had any self awareness at all, we wouldn't have a majority Tory government right now

A draft report concluded in the summer that Home Secretary Priti Patel had broken rules on ministers' behaviour, sources familiar with the contents say.

The Cabinet Office began an inquiry into her conduct after Sir Philip Rutnam, the most senior Home Office official, resigned in February.

Sir Philip - who is suing for unfair dismissal - alleged that staff felt Ms Patel "created fear" in the department.

Give him a break mate, he's been so busy leading the fight against Covid, front and centre at, er, all, um, er, all times. Or something.

Developing a world leading track and trace system
Procuring masses of PPE in a timely manner for reasonable cost
Negotiating a trade deal with the EU before the deadline
Backing the housing secretary for deadline scandals costing millions
Backing the strategist in front of the nation for breaking lockdown

Any of those?
