Some decent players there on paper but the spine was weak.Probably little team spirit and togetherness amongst players.(questionable management)
Wasn`t this the era of the dressing room cliques
Watts to me was a liability and the front 2 ineffective.
Howell,Clapham,Gowling and Hoyte were decent
Carayol went on to play for Forest and Boro and had bags of skill.
But the bonus in that era was that there was no pushing and shoving on the way out after the game.
Stroll up to the turnstile late and no queue.
i could sit in my old seat and freely walk through the stand at HT p1ssing crap about the match.(1st half highlights/lowlights)
no queues for the toilets.....did we have toilets then?
oh yeah,Scott Kerr........best left on the bench.
