Genuine guy who’s always doing bits and bobs for others. I know he gets a hard time on here for footballing reasons but his leadership is invaluable for the team - as seen by the game v Brentford. Thanks for sharing

Everyone love a scapegoat Merd, and now Hourihane is no longer around, who better?!

In all seriousness, he’s a top quality defender imho, elevated to international level since he joined, and by a national head coach who apparently hates Villa and won’t pick our players. So I guess TM must be doing something right.
